Our website is getting attacked by bots. 1000s of bots visit per day, and they bounce in 10 seconds. Because of this, our bounce rate shot up to 90%, which Google will punish.. We have the basic cloudflare bot protection on, but not really helping. Any suggestions on how we can combat this extra bot traffic?

Identify the IPs/ranges and block them through the server firewall,

Don't worry about the bounce rate influencing your rankings,
The bots are very less likely to use chrome or google SERPs, it's direct traffic/attack, they're not tracked by Google directly,
SEO-wise, as long as your website is operating normally, not getting too much slower or down due to the attacks, there's nothing to worry about

Hi, had this problem(. It was solved by manual cleaning, I can't explain it in one post. Contact a professional, it will be cheaper in the end.
