I think it should not be too hard to make it possible to extend membership before the auto renewal.

One thing you could also add is to issue an invoice and we would be able to pay it as well.

Just saying there is no option to extend it before auto renewal time and think it would be nice addition, if we could do it before that.

There should be no requirement to renew early. As advised by @ContentExpert, having your membership subscription in Chargebee means you don't have to worry. As long as you have a valid payment method linked to your Chargebee account, the payment will process.

As we say in our email reminders letting members know a subscription is coming up for renewal, the option to make a payment early/pay multiple years isn't currently available. However, we're happy to review individual circumstances in Support, so if you have a particular issue/concern, please feel free to Contact Support
