I have pondered a similar thought but using XMR. After extensive research I concluded that the best way for me to make money using XMR is to use the spare resources I have at my disposal in my DC. You need vast amounts of knowledge to do this from scratch and a team of people who know much more than you to make it work. All in all, that costs $$. You need a large budget to hire the right people for the job.

Its not neccesarily hard to do, I’ve deployed quite a few SPLs before pumpfun was a thing (obviously now its much easier to launch).

It’s also a tad more complicated than on EVMs where you can straight up copy any ERCs source through explorer and copy/paste it through remix to deploy. You need to know your way around creating metadata for tokenomics & deployment sequence through SCLIs (Solana’s deployment environment) - and then creating openbook marketID to create liq pair.

It's an interesting question about how the UK plans to enforce such a ban. Given the decentralized nature of Solana, it seems challenging to differentiate between 'legal' and 'illegal' tokens. You will be making loss in the whole process. There are already thousands of coins out there. Why will anyone invest in your coin ? You might have seen success like PNUT but you do not know how much effort their developer made.
