I think that can't happen.
I have been in this industry for over 10 years now.
What I see is just different in form.
Dropshipping used to be mainly on FB, and later it was brought to the marketplace.
But all of those things don't matter.
The law of supply and demand still exists, as long as buyers exist, dropshipping will still be around and can't be lost.

If you sell using FBM, then the products you sell are definitely dropship products, but if you convert those products to FBA, you will be selling legitimate products.
It's clear that dropship products are no different from FBA products.

Actually, I see that it only differs in marketing form
clearly, the products we are using daily can also be dropship products.

If I run an ad saying I have a warehouse in the US and that I manufacture the products myself, then the dropship products will no longer be considered dropship.

So what is the principle here?
If customers have demand, you can still sell products even if they are dropship products, and the difference lies in the marketing channel.

Don't listen to the Negative Nancys. I have NO IDEA why people jump on these threads and spout negativity about things they most likely know nothing about.
As some others have mentioned drop shipping is good for testing out a niche. If you find something profitable, you'll most likely want to purchase wholesale and arrange fulfillment. You'll make more money. If somehow you were able to make massive sales with a drop shipped cheap Chinese product you may want to stick with drop shipping, but I would AVOID trying to compete with mass produced cheap Chinese products. You need to be creative to find a niche with low competition, and I would avoid paying for ads to promote anything in a saturated market.

It indeed is, if only you can drive consistent quality traffic to your shop. All it takes is a few 100-200 sales per month to make $10k+

Can be profitable, depends on how you conduct product research, how you market, if your website converts, etc. Just that the ideology is different from other types of ecom businesses.

i agree with everyone saying that dropshipping is still alive. this business model has just evolved, and to keep making good money, you should learn new things and follow trends. i own a store on the sellvia platform, it offers pretty much everything i need to sell products, but the main struggle is promotion and choosing the right niche. i sell tech stuff, and i know this niche is too popular among dropshippers. i want to switch to a more profitable one, but i’m not sure what i should sell.

She setup her business details as fake Chinese warehouse postcode search. This is obviously against T&C. She's not doing multi figures on amazon, if her details her fake. That means she can't afford like $10 for a private address. And she is also shipping products from the home of counterfits.

There are better droppshipping methods than following this guide, using American and European made products, that are backed with quality control guarantees. Your customers would thank you. Compared to shipping from aliexpress.
