My Website's Impressions and Ranking Suddenly Dropped

A drop in impressions and rankings could be due to a Google update or technical issues. Check Google Search Console for problems, review your content, fix any technical issues, and monitor your backlinks.
I have tried to find the technical issues, but not able to find like I have crated the audit report for all the keywords belongs to pages, page speed, Backlink Audit(I have 0), Now the problem is new pages I could not be able to index and if I'm updating the content and tried to do manual indexing ; the process is done but page is not updated in serp

If website 1 month; You get a crawler that will check and index, and try to place your webpages in index quickly. Often resulting in better results than expected.

Some weeks later you get a new crawler and more advanced one, that places your pages in indexing again - resulting in "drops".

Just do whatever you planned to - reviewing content on a month old page is a null sum activity. Finish and expand your website :)

If new pages aren’t indexing, make sure they aren’t blocked by a noindex tag or robots.txt, and check that they’re linked properly within your site. Also, ensure the content is high-quality. Use Google Search Console’s URL Inspection tool to find any issues, and resubmit your sitemap. Finally, check for any manual actions or penalties. If everything seems fine, indexing may take some time.

1) maybe someone stolen your content , or duplicate the whole site.
2) some use bad links to your domain
3) just usual update of Google
4) someone send dmca or another complaint

I have checked, There's no bad links on the site.
How to find DMCA issues ? Can you please assist

I guess it's normal, since your website is pretty new. Not sure if the content is unique and manually written though

This is quite normal for new sites, Google sandboxes and then slowly releases back, wait for 5 to 7 days, meanwhile create some social signals, and 1 or 2 quality backlinks, don't overdo it.
and also make sure that your content is not pure AI but high human score content

I also had the same symptoms as the writer. Wouldn't it matter if the target keyword is different even if the site is duplicated?

A sudden drop in impressions and rankings can be concerning. Here are some common reasons for such issues in the astrology niche (or any niche) and actionable steps to help you recover:

Potential Reasons for the Drop:

  1. Google Algorithm Updates:
    • Recent core updates or changes to Google's ranking algorithm may have affected your site. Check if any updates coincide with your drop.
  2. Content Quality Issues:
    • If your content isn’t unique, valuable, or aligned with user intent, it may have been devalued. Reassess and improve your existing content.
  3. Technical SEO Problems:
    • Crawlability issues (broken links, poor site speed, or indexing errors) can negatively impact impressions. Use tools like Google Search Console to identify problems.
  4. Keyword Cannibalization:
    • Multiple pages targeting the same keywords might confuse search engines. Ensure each page has a unique focus.
  5. Competitor Activity:
    • Competitors may have improved their SEO strategies, leading to your keywords dropping in rank.
  6. Backlink or Penalty Issues:
    • Spammy backlinks or a manual action from Google could cause ranking drops. Use Google Search Console to review your backlinks and disavow harmful ones.

How to Recover:

  1. Audit Your Site:
    • Use tools like Screaming Frog or Ahrefs to check for technical issues. Fix broken links, enhance loading speed, and ensure mobile optimization.
  2. Enhance Content:
    • Update old posts with fresh, detailed, and SEO-friendly information. Add multimedia (images, videos) to improve user engagement.
  3. Analyze Search Console Data:
    • Identify which pages or keywords lost rankings and focus on improving them.
  4. Improve E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trust):
    • Showcase your authority in astrology by adding author bios, external references, and a strong "About Us" section.
  5. Monitor Competitors:
    • Study what competitors are doing differently and adapt accordingly.
  6. Build Quality Backlinks:
    • Focus on earning backlinks from reputable astrology or lifestyle sites.

Next Steps:

  • Identify recent changes you made before the drop (e.g., content updates, hosting issues, etc.).
  • Keep monitoring performance and stay updated on Google’s announcements.
Feel free to share more details about your site for specific advice. Good luck with the recovery!

Most of keywords I've ranked in top 10, but now they all are out of 100. :(
don't get despondent - have another go, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger
Check the keywords that went down. Check the pages which were getting impressions. Make sure pages are same which were ranking on keywords or they have dropped down.
Good idea
How old is your website?

Try to interlink your content and keep adding quality content to your website. Also, try to build quality backlinks to get back on the track.
Yes...
Strong backlinks are a must - if that's doable for you
should I rewrite the content and update again in search console, It will work to rank again ??
Add to your current content with quality narrative
You can do that too but still, you need to publish more content to build authority. Also, internal linking is a must.
Absolutely - content quality is key...keep some of it 'Evergreen' as well as current content

Also @Electro_Maddy it's early days, try not to panic about it and lean in to the BHW community - they know what they're talking about. All the best and let us know how you get on.

It can be because of google algorithm updates. There are so many of them thag it becomes hard to track them. You need to get full analysis done from some SEO expert.

Hello! I understand how concerning it can be when website impressions and rankings drop suddenly. Since your site is in the astrology niche, here are a few possible reasons for the decline and recommendations to recover:

Recent Algorithm Update: Google frequently updates its algorithms, which can impact niche sites. Checking SEO news and Google Search Console for any notifications can help.

Content & E-A-T Factors: Astrology-related content often falls under YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) categories, meaning Google evaluates expertise, authority, and trustworthiness more strictly. Ensuring high-quality, well-researched content can help.

Backlink & Competitor Analysis: If competitors have gained stronger backlinks or if low-quality backlinks exist, it might affect rankings. A thorough backlink audit and high-quality link-building strategy can improve this.

Indexing & Coverage Issues: Sometimes, pages get deindexed due to technical reasons. Checking Google Search Console’s coverage and manual actions reports is recommended.

Keyword Volatility: Google may refine its ranking criteria, causing fluctuations. Reviewing search trends and refreshing content with relevant keywords can help regain rankings.

This might be possible because of google update. Maybe you are using totally AI content without human touch. wait for some time and improve your content.
