DMCA ignored and reverse proxy

Hi everyone

I plan to host a game server that might get a DMCA notice at one point and I want to protect myself and keep the server running of course.
Right now I am using Netcup because of the cheap prices for the hardware I get but obviously it is not any DMCA free.

I wanted to get some recommendations for DMCA ignored VPS services that I could reverse proxy through with a strong DDoS protection.
I do not plan to use the VPS other than to direct to my real server's IP and protect the identity of the real server.

Is there any requirements for the VPS to have? Can a 1 vcore 4gb ram with 1gbps shared port can do the job? Also, how reliable is using a reverse proxy for hiding identity? I read about NGINX Reverse proxy. I need to make sure that no abuse is related to the Netcup server in any means to protect my identity as well.

Hi there! Since its a game server, before than DMCA you should check connection, latency, location and DDoS protection of course if you're looking for main server. However reverse proxy setup is not very reliable, its very easy to detect. Also if DMCA ignored hosting not providing DDoS protection it will bring you more problems than DMCA. Also using reverse proxy for game server will increase ping and latency for your players and 3rd connections.

Considering all this, instead of a reverse proxy setup, you need directly choose a dedicated server with Ryzen processor from the DMCA ignored hosting that is suitable for your location.

Does a reverse proxy require a lot? Will 2v core 4GB ram will be enough running linux? Sorry for this newbie question I just never did it.
At the first steps I don't intend to purchase a professional level ddos guard.

Another question, is Alexhost really DMCA free? I read people complain a lot about them and their network too.

I recommend you first contact them before order. Tell them all about abuses and what DDOS attacks you have, than they will provide for you solution. Because for game server also important low ping and good connection. For example if your server in USA and you will order VPS in Moldova for proxying, thats very bad idea and you will have very hight ping.

Yes, but our service do not interested to host projects with DDOS attacks for free or for low price.
Low price antiddos service very often seems like only marketing and for real you will have antiddos as nullroute wile ddos do not ended.

So, if no worry about DDOS attacks and its new project, you can find many low cost hosters in Netherlands and it will be ok for start. Can I ask, what game you hosted, that you so afraid DMCA abuses?

Have you found a solution? Did you eventually get a reverse proxy? Netcup specs is sick bro, first time i heard of them, too bad they don't accept crypto

Thoughts on DMZhost as rProxy? Any alternatives for backend server that accepts xmr? Hetzner vCPU VPS is tempting tho
