It is called Delaware, so you may want to reconsider filing that LLC in this jurisdiction but again, all the perks oversold about it on Stripe Atlas could potentially cost a kidney to a brokie back in the years.

Thankfully there are many other options now including states allowing anonymous LLCs and little to no taxes. The take away is, you don't have to be doing things the exact same way everyone else is doing it.

Would you like to expand on this more maybe?
Is Delaware drastically different than Wyoming?

@aristocratic shared a useful guide about it a few years back:

I like the guide aristocratic shared.
Delaware just seems to be hyped all over the place on the internet when you can do the same thing with Wyoming.

As far as I know, New Mexico is a less costly is there is zero annual fees. Plus the fact that you can go anonymous with public records too.

I like to see people use from many options.

allowing anonymous LLCs

Anonymous USA LLCs are basically a thing of the past. Beneficial Owner Information has to be filed.

Desperate people open LLCs after watching random YT videos. Most of them don't file any paperwork which is absolutely necessary even if you don't owe any tax.

There's nothing wrong about Delaware LLC, just find a proper service, definitely not Stripe Atlas.

I have so much to rant about this. Especially for Indians doing this.

(This is from a standpoint of an Indian. Please check rules for your country.)

If you're in India, you're consistently inundated with ads from Stripe and about 20 different companies who will help you with one click incorporation.

But here's the catch...

If you go through with that = Instant FEMA Violation. And you cannot recover from this later. There is no method, the authorities and the laws are still adaptong.

There are very specific scopes for Indian Individuals to make obtain foreign shares (other than ESOPs et al)

The most common is to setup an LLP and go the ODI (Overseas direct investment) through it.

There is a lot of headache in this. And a proper experienced accountant or law firm who specialises in incorporation and compliance should be consulted each time.

You go through this before you choose a US state to incorporate in.

Do you have many sources/details about this?
