Upwork rent - is it scam?

I'm having the same, now I'm earning by renting Upwork accounts. Your offer is much better than mine.
I only recieved $150 per month, and PC's are provided by my users.
Now I'm a small time broker providing a verified Upwork account to my renters.
All I can say is this is Legit since I can see all the works and their account transactions, and I know all the passwords
of all the accounts I provided to them. So it's safe, I also able to build to good relationship with with Renters.
Anyway please be careful, still there are some people who are scammers and pretend to be legit like them.
I agree with you

i will suggest make your account instead of buying it

Oh, no.
The rent is last trial.
coz their own account has been already blocked.
So, they need renting. Do you think they rent other account in spite of their own account?

I've heard it’s against Upwork’s terms and could lead to account suspension. :suspicious:
Plus, you’d be responsible for any issues that come up.

Let's say that I bring jobs on upwork instead of him.
Is it illegal?
and I get return from my work

Even if you're bringing in the work, Upwork accounts are meant to represent the individual or business owner themselves, so sharing or renting it can still lead to suspension.

Do you know what blockhat means?
Yes, I’ve heard of Blackhat techniques. While they can sometimes offer creative workarounds, they also carry big risks, especially on platforms like Upwork where account integrity is closely monitored.

All risks have relevant solutions behind of this. I think renting is useful since it is profitable for both of renter and borrower.

Dear @6mdayna and @DsbonnetsZek
You don't need to worry about that.
There are many people scammed by fake broker. But not broker scammed by broker or renter.
Why?
The renter possess credential of the bank account. that's why borrower has no way to scam the host.

I truly agree with you, this is a win - win situation. Both parties are getting benefits.

You sound like you are Upwork moderator who doesn't care about your freelancer.
Upwork should be boycotted.

Scammers may take this opportunity to obtain your Upwork account information and conduct illicit activities under your account.

Seems like a scam and not a good idea if you care about your Upwork account.

If you dont know whats the product, the product is you.
The verified account is linked to you, so any scam is under your name and you ID EVERYTHING.
Beware of scammers

@hhggfa, @Astrokid30, @IgniteHost
All behavior follow reason.
What do you think of the reason they scam with the account?
The person who is more likely to lie is not the borrower, but the lender. This is because after the work is done, the payment relationship is made by the account holder, and if the account holder violates the contract and takes the money for himself, the person who borrowed and did the work is the one who is responsible.
What can the borrower scam with the account? no.
The possibility which renter can get scam is only case of lack-skill freelancer.
It is not intentional things and is problem due to limited skill.
