YouTube is monetized by adsense. So, yes, you would be required to verify before getting paid. I personally think that verification is obsolete and pointless. It was useful back when they used to send physical check. Now, it's absolutely pointless.

I've read some info about AdSense since I've asked the question, and ID proof + address proof both seem mandatory. It depends on countries but usually they ask for these 2 things.
That's why when your account is banned you can't open another one unless using some shady methods. Using a family member identity is possible but it comes with many drawbacks

Maybe it is necessary. I got AdSense approval many years ago. It was not necessary back then.

Their systems are best to not be touched.

They constantly change rules and act like a retarded kid.

I wasted years with them and their moodiness.

Try to see the internet without Google and. YouTube. The difference is big.

Really, keep it for days when you're a whale and can buy monetized accounts.

Starting over and over again is not something we should do in life.

Cut out unnecessary parts of business. Find an optimized path to success.

Then imagine 10 years of true business operations.

With correct, independent business operations you'll become wealthy, for generations.

Also think of switching from YouTube to Google search + Ppc. Forget AdSense - letting Google control wallets is pure nightmarish idea.

I know mate but all networks are like this, not only adsense. They all have conditions, criteria, etc and they can ban you for a yes or a no. Adsense is mandatory for youtube so it's tough to avoid it. Sending traffic to CPA or content lockers is an alternative I have to test as well.

YouTube shop in-platform and own products is something, I'd go for. Plus I'd build a private email list.

Adsense can be disabled for plenty of reasons. That's why I wouldn't depend on that.

Content locking is half-dead. I only run it with paid ads. Organically it's too much work.

So what are you doing now ? Almost all platforms are like this only and we have to adapt to their rules.
