Yes, you'll get clicked on. And not only a link, but also a picture of clothes, too, place a beautiful parasite. Your ranking will certainly improve, but on the request for clothes it will not be enough to rank you high, until your site itself will not become ranked. Therefore, your main task is to lure people to your site from the parasite, not to promote the query of your site.

Rank improvement is a secondary use of parasites if you include links back to your own sites, but as @GoogSEO has explained they're mainly properties that you want to rank themselves, with prominent CTAs to your lander pages/offers/aff links etc.

Parasite pages and websites are not meant to rank your own website, but the juice could pass through but not necessary. The goal is to promote whatever offer or product you have directly on the parasite page/website. When it does rank, visitors would eventually click to the linked offer or product page.

You have nothing to lose with regards to your own site and more to gain. Know that, it's not every keyword that a parasite page can rank for. Another important thing to know is to not target a keyword said parasite is ranking for.

Example, say reddit is ranking for 'footwears for sport', don't go in with your own reddit post targeting the same keyword, you'll fail.
