I don't understand how do (quite a lot) of Fiverr freelancers get hundreds of jobs within 4 months, even when their work is mediocre and crappy, and they're charging relatively high amount of $.
Do they get friends to buy their gigs (and pay them back) to boost their reviews up and up, until the algorithm picks up on them?

Yeah it's true for some work in SEO but most other work has nothing like this like graphics design and WordPress set up etc. People only order once and often forget to visit fiver again to leave a review. In rare cases there are negative reviews and most other new clients don't see them or just ignore it and proceed to order. The cycle contin

Fiverr will take the money back from the freelancer Im guessing. I have 120 completed orders on fiverr with me refunding 15 of them. I want to say at least 7-10 of them were after I already accepted the order and left a review. Fiverr has never gave me a hard time and has just given me my money back no matter the size of the order(from $10 to $1500)

Im only ever refunding if they didn't deliver their promises. Like my message said. It was only 15 orders out of 100+, which on a platform like fiverr, is quite low

They are either buy reviews, if you join Fiverr groups on Facebook, you will see many people search for "review exchange", and some maybe using ads to get sales, and maybe there are some outreach methods that they are using.

I've seen some new selles just created new accounts, just one month from now, they get 17 orders or more, from the reviews I see some real buyers, I think they are using some kind of advertisement or outreach or network.

Otherwise, I think you should think outside of the box.

People do that a lot on fiverr, and if you want to save money, you just get your delivery and then go to fiverr and complain and ask for a refund. I don#t think you'll ever be told "no".

I think it's really important not to promise things that are outside the scope of your work. Avoid using words like "guaranteed" or "unlimited reviews." A lot of sellers can be overly anxious like little kittens, but there’s no need to be afraid of clients if you deliver on what you said and stick to your boundaries when buyers try to push for more. I've had my fair share of experiences where buyers asked for extra work after I delivered. I just said no and made sure to keep track of what I promised and what I actually delivered. Eventually, they figured out that I wasn’t going to budge like a baby cat and stopped trying to manipulate me. Stay strong!

there are many crooks on fiverr. They overpromise and when you do the work they want a refund. From 12 orders, I think i got 3 refunds. Mostly nice people, but also crooks among the buyers. Now fiverr does not want me and I'm really depressed. No more $5 gigs for me. This motivated me so bad that I broke my Upwork record this month.

Doesn't matter. I had to refund some money before despite delivering exactly what I said to the tee (it was not creative work so there was no room for personal opinion of it), I was very clear in my description before the order and on the customer offer, I finished well within the time frame.


Don't make the mistake and think Fiverr is on your side, they are not. Buyers bring in the money, so they satisfy them. And if it means they give them a refund, they just do that. Just go the forums and read up.

I tried to get back on fiverr, I have 8 5-star reviews, added some gigs, they ranked first days and then they dropped down completely. I don't understand how I will make a sale if they don't promote me.

No, Upwork is better for sellers. They take better care of the sellers there.

And on Fiverr you can't really decline, you can initially disagree, but if the client insists, it will happen. That's what happened to me. I explained the situation, showed pictures and proved that I did everything I was asked to do to a perfect level, and the client just said "he was not happy with it he wants a refund". And after a little back and forth, it just went through.
