Get backlinks from Wikipedia, not service posts just sharing my method maybe it works

Hi, guys, I was thinking if it works we get free backlinks from Wikipedia first of all I don't know much about link building that's why am asking here os you guys guide me maybe I am right, or not

So the method is so simple that's why am confused why this is so simple of course getting good is not easy
1 I put every subdomain
2 I found the broken outgoing of Wiki Pedia
3 I extract the broken outgoing links that are relevant to my niche
4 I reached the website or whatever process is to contact that specific page
5 ask them if this link is broken and insert my niche-relevant link with it

What you think it works or not??

I didn't try this but am working on it to find broken out going links from different websites

Yes but do a twist. Why just focus on Wikipedia? You could get more links than just one wiki link

This is how I would improve it.

Wikiedpia -> link -> Website that doesn't exist
Link is broken.

Do a backlink search on that link, perhaps there are other places that are also linking to that old page.
Do outreach and get backlinks.

Dude, It's a volume game, like sales. You need to send 1000s of emails to get maybe 30-40 backlinks. So if only 30-40 backlinks are pointing towards a dead target, you'd have to hope that just one of your target prospects can change it.

Find more opportunities, rinse and repeat. Continue doing this.

What does your outreach email look like? Are they all being inboxed? Are they all landing in the right folder? Are you asking for them to change it immediately? What's your offer? Are you offering any cash? Any services?


With lots of volume, you can play with the subject, and the display name, and see what influences the open rates and then what wins.

There's lots of ways to do this, hell you can force your way to get links with images and outreach (there's a method here but the idea is to send emails to whoever hot links to your images and then ask them for a link (or force them for a link by sending an incriminating letter from a law firm site))


How about this

1) If there's one site which is pointing to an expired domain/dead link whatever, they probably have a bunch of other things which are bad on the site. Find 3 glaring ones which they can fix immediately, and in one of those 3, make sure your link replacement is there. Try to do it in the 1st or second email.

Now, everyone is happy. Website owner fixed his site, you got a backlink. Job well done.
