301 redirect from penalized website to another domain

I follow a few sites that do this.

It works in the beginning but this is how all of them end up:

Same method? All content changed, backlinks disavowed, changed internal and external backlinks? Or do you follow only domains that simple clone website to another domain and that's all? Because I renewed all website before move and redirect, it's completely different to the previously website.

A variation. I don't know about disavow but here is what I know.

Some build a new website (fresh domain), add some articles and then migrate (301) the old website to the new website.

Some buy powerful expired domains, add some content and then redirect the old website.

All the sites I follow ended up dropping in the end.

I do not keep track of their content changes though....So that could help you.

Ok, that's really bad news.
I will update this thread!

Ok, I think we can close this thread lol
Let’s see the other website, and the next days, but I’m not positive.

Quick update, all seems stable. I thought it would drop sharply, but for now I continue to have a hundred visits a day from Google. It's very good, the old domain had very few, maybe 20.

The other domain seems good too.

A 301 redirect from a penalized website to another domain may transfer penalties, hence it is typically not recommended.

Very helpful information. Thanks for sharing.

Yes I know, but I did many change, not a simple redirect.

This thread don't have much success, hope people are reading and try to learn something about this. I'm learning too much with this "method", because yes, website lost a bit traffic, but seems stable at the moment.

As you can see, all is stable. I'm happy, because I have around 80-100 visitors a day from Google, that is better than nothing!

It's time for updates.
Just for remember, first website with redirect 301 it's .IT domain, and I think that's the cause to the success.
The first .IT domain seems really really good. The penalized old domain (.com) had about 20 visits a day, the new one 200-250.

The second .com domain never started he started out very well but then settled to 20-30 visits per day

I think the key it's the local TLD

Visits in the main .IT website are stable, I only noticed some dance in kws.
Some keywords dance in this days, from position 1 to 20, then in 4, again in 20 etc. This happening for some kws I'm monitoring.
Btw the visitors seems ok

Any suggestions? Is this normal?

Now I'm curious to see
I think you're on the right track to make your website profitable and with a lot of traffic again.
Actually, seems that the traffic it's stable, I don't think will increase a lot, but let's see.

Even if it's stable, that means you're doing a good job. Keep it up!

Hey guys, what's up?
All stable at the moment, traffic it's stable at 200-240 visitors daily from big G. I think I passed the "tested months" and now my website it's established, my posts are indexing and ranking really fast and really high.

I’ve redirected the old domain (the one hit by google) to a new domain, but I didn’t change host . Still the same server, I’m only going to improve the content. I’ve also changed theme .

Add cloudflare. Problem solved!
