Depends how much your competitors have backlinks. And for anchor you should use brand one for homepage and anchors you want to rank for for product pages…

Depending on your keyword difficulty (I think its high that's why stucked), you can try niche guest posts or niche edits for good results. You can also do analyze competitor sites to "steal" their keywords and build links accordingly. This strategy can help you achieve better results for sure.

You can get top on the google page by focus on high quality guest posts and mixed niche edits , PBNs to your site. To say exact backlinks count ,Need to know howmany links currently there for your site and the position of current position.
Also, need to do competitor and keyword analysis to find exact plan.

As you said you are on pages 3 to 4 then you focus on the Traffic guest posts and Niche Links
In those links use good keyword density and placements along with quality images and Videos
Because as an e-commerce category you have to provide effective images and videos

Focus on building high-quality backlinks (Traffic Guest posts, Niche edits). Analyze your competitors' backlinks, aim for similar or better-quality links, and use an anchor text strategy with a mix of exact match, partial match, branded, and generic anchors and make sure to prefer quality over quantity links.

It depends on the keyword competition and link quality. I mostly prefer links from guest posts with keywords in title of the articles. And niche edits too works but from relevant pages.
If you're going with PBNs, then make sure you do only high end proper PBN links.

Start by looking at who ranks in the top spots. Check the page quality and backlink profile.
This should give you at least some indicator of how realistic it's to rank #1. And how big the gap is.
Sometimes it's just impossible with a given budget.
