Manual Reciprocal Linking for Newbies

Step 1: Find a very relevant site to your site with a minimum home page PR of 3. That has a contact form / email and has a link page on its website.

Step 2: Make sure the link page is not 3 click deep to your link from the home page.

Step 3: Check if the link going to your link on their site are all/has "Do Follow" tags.

Step 4: Make sure your link on their page has a "Do Follow" tag and it is not redirected.

Step 5: You should make sure you have place a reciprocal link of their url on your site. so that they will not delete your link on their page.

Step 6: Constantly check for any changes on the reciprocated sites. Sometimes they delete your link without notice.

Step 7: It is up to you know. Be creative...

Yes there are scripts that do that. But i do not know how much they worth.

But there are other ways you can monitor your back links. There are sites that provide that kind of services for free. But you need to know where your link first so that you will then copy the URL of the page where the link to your site is placed. Then that that particular site checks if the link is still there.

Its is still kind of a manual checking but it is free. Good thing about it is that it can check in bulk. That way you don't have to check the links 1 by 1.
