I've been inconsistent with my channel due to being busy, but I've been fortunate that almost every video I upload quickly hits the 10k view mark, usually within 24 hours. Occasionally, some videos break out and reach between 20-50k views. However, recently, my videos have been getting almost no views.

I'm trying to understand why this might be happening. Have I hit some sort of view cap for the month, or is there another reason? I've been panic-uploading in an attempt to break out of whatever is currently affecting my channel. Should I continue uploading daily, or is there a better approach?

If anyone has insight or experience with this situation, I'd really appreciate your advice.

so you were getting decent views at first and then you started panic uploading (aka spam uploading), the noticed the define in views.
if you did that and started uploading more often, youtube seems to have some mechanism in place to limit channels that spam upload or increase frequency of uploads (which appears like spam).

The best practise is to space out uploads Ike so:

2 videos per week, 8 videos a month

1 video per week, 4 videos a month

2 videos a month.

leaving such space allows for each video to gain maximum exposure. spam uploading more videos won't help you magically break out of your view cap.
apart from the general consensus amongst most people that consistent and frequent uploading is what helps, the right answer seems to the the opposite.

this had been tested and verified multiple times.

lesser uploads that are spaced out helps each video get more views.
uploading too often makes your channel appear like spam and could potentially cause a decline in traffic. there are channels that upload 1 to 3 videos a day and experience such decline.
on the other hand you will see channels with so few videos (1 to 3 videos a month) that constantly pull views for years (from their older videos).

I appreciate the response. The spam uploading actually occurred days after the decline initially started. When I first started my channel, I was uploading four times a day, with all videos reaching the 10k view mark almost instantly due to the Shorts feed traffic. So, I don't think spam uploading is the actual cause of the decline. I'm still trying to figure out what might have caused it. Right now, my best guess is that the decline was triggered by the mistake of privating multiple videos for several days, which were no longer relevant to my channel.

Before I started privating videos, I did some shallow research on whether doing so would affect my channel in any way. The lack of thorough research led me to believe it wouldn’t have an impact, so I decided to proceed. However, it seems I was incorrect.

As of now, I plan to start uploading less frequently, if you think that's the best approach. Not four times a month, but perhaps once every three days or every other day, to see if I get any results. I honestly think I just need to rebuild my channel’s history by consistently putting out enough videos and having those videos potentially gain views to rebuild a solid base.

I'm sorry, but it really frustrates me when people blame the quality of the shorts. The videos aren't even being pushed, and they're getting zero impressions. I would understand if the videos had poor view ratios and watch time, but that's not the case. In fact, the quality has actually improved. When the videos were being pushed, they were receiving an 85%+ view ratio and solid average watch time. So no, that's not the reason, and it rarely ever is.

As mentioned earlier, the likely reason is that I unlisted a large amount of my older content, which accounted for 50% of my total channel stats. Doing so caused my channel to lose its base. Fortunately, I have multiple channels, and this is the only one currently experiencing this problem since it's the only channel where I unlisted videos.

So if there's anything to learn from this experience, it's that unlisting older videos is a -ev.

I made a similar mistake as well, deleting and reuploading my Shorts. Now my Shorts don't get sent to the Shorts Feed and it's completely dead. Not sure if I should continue uploading like normal for the next week or 2 or try different solutions that will maybe solve the problem.

Unfortunately, I have not yet found a solution to this issue, but once I do, I will be sure to share it.

Had it happen to one of my accounts, tried to upload slowly over the next 2 months, but nothing ever changed and I made a new account instead. In my personal opinion it's probably best to already start warming up a new account now.

Weekly once, one in 2 weeks and or monthly once will be good upload.
Youtube rank on these distances videos.
Try to upload with important keywords in tag section also to get more specific views.

It’s been about two weeks since the issue occurred, and I have yet to notice any progress. As I’ve mentioned, this isn’t my only account—just the one experiencing the problem—so it’s not a huge deal. However, this account was performing well and was on track to catch up with my other accounts. I’m currently testing a new potential fix and will share it if it resolves the issue.
