So I have come to notice some items are not listed on certain platforms, specifically ones with Buy-Box. I took over around 5 of these listings lately and see views trickle in. Some course I did before discouraged this because they say it would not have the people looking for the item, I somewhat disagree. Perhaps with a unknown brand that requires trust to make sales the sale is harder, I have workarounds. Off the 5 listings I control, made 2 sales so far, so I know there is something here because on another platform altogether I also sold 2 by being the only guy selling the products.

Went to my distributors site and found about 20 items not represented on my platform ($1050 Wholesale, have to wait). Even found a way to do product research that nobody else is using, with AI. Just thought I would share my results so far and will update you all on my next tests with this later. Having a good distributor is half the battle, each is different. Some cover shipping costs for you with low MOQ's, others want large sums. Take in mind there is a barrier to entry here, but if you are selling then perhaps you can incorporate this method, especially with licensed goods.

The best evidence during your product research that there are people seeking the product is not views, but I believe sales/solds. Watchers/likes are a nice metric, but sometimes I think that means also some that people cannot afford the item if it is the only listing with 30 watchers. When I choose my pricing I dont do some complicated formula. I know most licensed stuff has low margins, but 2X the base amount is possible certainly -expenses.

Take this into consideration for a moment. I get a $5 item to sell for $11.50, after packing and platform fees you are out $1 packaging, *$4.50 shipping (if free ship) and have a platform fee. Do you like working for free? I do not. This is one reason I am getting more into the Premium items instead of low ticket. We are dealing with competition with millions of dollars sometimes banked behind and they can crush you price wise. Work smarter, then harder...

Item Case Study:
Certain figure selling on platform without competition, supported by TV show. Put up the listing with another product that is essentially the same. $2.75 cost wholesale, sell for $9.50 minus $5 packn'ship. Now when I have 100 of these listings, maybe I can get some $$$$$$

Currently working:
-Wholesale to Retail
-Platform Arbitrage (Less now)
-Limited Editions/Collectors Editions/1st Editions
-No Competition Listings
-H.T. Dropshipping

Want to Test MORE:
PLR/DIGITAL DELIVERIES (DEFINITELY Info)
Flip Cars
Vending Machine Route (Build to Sell)
Patent a Card Game with Custom Deck

Will Avoid:
Retail Arbitrage/Offline Arbitrage
AI Print on Demand (Not for me)

Ask me about the AI if you want. Also, my apologies for so many eCommerce threads, though there is a lot to cover as I move along with it. Lets take it over!

Moving on up to higher ticket items, the low-ticket stuff was good for getting some reviews in, but I feel that time has passed, and I am soon onto the next phase. Time to get more profit in my wholesale to retail journey, I'm in a good niche (collectables) where I could do flips on some items too if I wanted. So, I can do NEW/Used (Lots), games or even Pokémon cards and whatever else is related. I have a game launching eventually in physical form and I've spoken about to Dev's about creating it into an app after I patent it.

Check the attachment, I'm winning like 12% of the buy box across over 50 SKU because my prices are below the competition. Up from 1% prior. Its Q4 so I'm trying to unload some of the "filler" items in my inventory for cheap to get the ball rolling with other things. Just had my best weekend yet, shipped 11 items, 1 guy bought 4.

Either other sellers are raising prices or it's an anomaly, but I'm up to 23% Buy Box wins all of a sudden. Maybe I should raise my prices? What I did was undercut all the competition with pricing 16% under the competitive buy box price. The free shipping really eats into my profits. I would say that even on this platform it's all about the item, if its profitable and sells fast you have a winner. Ground Advantage has worked well for me, I'm the new best customer at my local post office. Next, I am buying collectables of higher ticket price, like $8 ones that sell for $16+ and they seem to have more built-in profit after envelope/tape/label cost. Just liquidating some of my filler items in Q4, most the prize collectable toys in the assortments sold out FAST. Now I have a better idea of everything I need to do.
