Hi!

I have never used Stripe before and I have some curiosities. I will write below some questions that I hope to get answered.

1) In how much time / after how many payments / after what amounts collected do you reach daily payout?

2) If you have a new Stripe account, how slow do you have to warm it up? Can you start directly cashing out 100-200 usd per day and grow gradually or do you have to be careful not to have very fast growth?

3) If I buy an account with daily payout how fast can I start cashing large amounts on it? Can I directly start to cash out 1000-2000 usd per day or does it also need to be warmed up?

4) How sensitive is Stripe to chargebacks? What percentage does it generally accept? If I have 2-3% chargebacks is it ok?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think warming up a stripe account works. If you cross a certain threshold of revenue, you'll be hit by verifications anyway.
And they are very sensitive to both chargebacks and high risk businesses that pose a risk of high % of chargebacks.
If you're planning to buy an account, don't keep large sums with them at any point in time because you'll most likely lose the account sooner or later.

Stripe payout speed depends on your chosen schedule (usually 1-3 days) and total collected amount. New accounts benefit from gradual growth to avoid account reviews. Bought accounts often have payout limitations and require careful increase in withdrawal amounts stripe tolerates low chargeback rates (2-3%), but higher rates can restrict your account

What kind of verifications should I expect?

For the high risk business issue I'm thinking of integrating on a Stripe supported website and checkout through it. To send orders from my other websites to it.

Thank you!

On new accounts it is payout after 7 days, on my Stripe account it is. And it specifies that later on I will have access to daily payout, but it doesn't specify when, after how many payments or after how much money is collected. This is what I'm trying to find out from your experience.

Thank you!

Your id, business address, utility bill, invoices for goods purchased for your business, depending on the type of business etc. Bank account verification, to see if you actually own that account. They may also ask for more documents. Basically, KYC for both you and your business.

These documents are not required from the start, since when you create your Stripe account? Why would they ask for more after you've already collected a few payments?

I didn't use Stripe classic, only Stripe Connect and there they asked for my ID and bank account from the beginning, only after that I could use the account to collect payments.

Thank you!

Stripe typically holds initial payouts for 7 days to assess account risk after this period, you'll transition to a regular payout schedule. Unfortunately, there's no exact formula for when daily payouts unlock; it depends on various factors like payment volume, chargeback rates and account history

Once you start doing big numbers, they need to verify if you're actually running a legit business and not laundering money. They do only basic KYC when you sign up and ask for more documents when your revenue increases considerably.
They may also outright ban your account if they find out your business does not meet their terms or if it's a high risk business.

Thank you very much for the explanations.

In case I buy a Stripe account with instant payout (suppose I find somewhere to buy) will I be able to start directly cashing large amounts on it, like 1000-2000 usd daily? Will I also be able to withdraw these amounts daily or only a portion of the money, the rest remaining locked?

I understand now. Thank you very much for your explanations.

Even with an instant payout Stripe account, directly cashing out large amounts like $1000-2000 daily might raise red flags. Stripe has systems to monitor account activity, and sudden spikes can trigger reviews or limitations its generally safer to gradually increase withdrawal amounts to avoid account issues. Also, be aware that instant payouts often come with fees

Are the same problems with Stripe Connect? You can create a Stripe Connect account through a merchant platform such as sellpass.io and as far as I understand you can use it without having a company/business.

Here I'm thinking that using that platform as a front (you sell your products directly on sellpass) the risk of getting your Stripe Connect account banned for charging too much in a short time would be lower.

Has anyone tested such a method?

Eventually they will ask to verify your business, happened to me before. So I would say try your best to go about it the right way if you don't want to lose your account with your money. KYC verification will eventually hit you.

So the Stripe Connect account is not for individuals, but still for business, even though platforms like sellpass allow you to create an account as an individual?

Thank you.

they'll hold your money eventually, and if you are dealing with stripe, you will send them all the proof they need. but just because of current high-risk sellers, they will still suspend you. I've provided stripe/shopify payments with all their needed proof, even made new accounts with other info, and the same suspension repeats itself without them telling me the reason, or refunding customers. (literally a lucky russian roulette)

1) we never got daily with uk haha. 3 day was the best
2) 200-300 per day is fine at the beginning
3) forget it to buy accounts. only scammers
4) stripe is sensitive when it comes to volume. not really chargebacks. but its depends if you use klarna or card.

For us stripe connect works well. we have big stripe A´s with like 2 million turnover. and like an army of Stripe B´s. Stripe B´s are for burning and transfer the money with connect to Stripe A´s.

Make LLC with bank account and use this for business.
Stripe will steal your money sooner or later and ask lots of questions etc..
Its same with PayPal.
