Using a Facebook group for affiliate marketing?

Hey, y’all. I’m pretty new to the game and am looking for some suggestions. I own and moderate a relatively large (11,300 members) Facebook group geared towards digital nomads. In the past, I have marketed TESOL courses for people who wanted to teach English remotely. Unfortunately, the company that taught that course went out of business. I wonder if anybody has suggestions for my niche, or if this endeavor is even worth pursuing with only 11k members. I get about 200 new members weekly.

My suggestion is. I'd vote to test monetizing. You could put out a survey and see what niches your audience is in. As a digital nomad, and having gone to many of the digital nomad meetings in different cities in the world, I know many are looking to get into coding, better copywriting, getting their PMP, etc. There's really a limited number of areas that allow for digital nomad-ing and most are professionals who either want to expand into new skills or improve on their existing ones.

I'd post this as a question to your group in a way that shows you're looking to bring value.

Something like: What free courses would you like to get?

Then include a few options, and let the crowd tell you what they are interested in. Then you can cut a deal with some provider to get a freebie as a hook for an up-sale to a paid course.

When you're bootstrapping, getting to profitability is great as it allows you to advertise and expand your audience using the income you get.

Hmmm, For free courses, I’d reckon coding, digital marketing, or project management, as these are often in demand. As for providers, platforms like Coursera, Udemy, and LinkedIn Learning could be good places to start. It might also be worth reaching out to niche-specific course creators for unique offerings. （And maybe you can try our agency accounts)

Spot on! Just be careful not to push courses that don’t interest your group. It’s all about balancing value with relevance, really.
