This is my first post so go easy on me.

Black hat SEO techniques can get you banned in the SERPs right? How can I utilise a sneaky BH technique to get one of my competitors banned from the major search engines?

Trying to get one of your competitors banned isn't very nice. How would you like it if you had put a lot of time and work into your site to earn some good money for yourself and then someone goes and gets your site banned so that they don't have to compete with you. Instead of trying to be a complete ass why don't you rather educate yourself and work at getting your site above your competitors in the serps

Perhaps I should explain...

I currently rank no.1 for many of my targeted keywords/phrases and just below me appears a result that is calling my business 'con artists' and I thought to get him knocked even further down, it would be an idea to get him banned as I am already no.1 on a particular kw.

If what I am suggesting is mean, I'd quite like to know how to go about knocking him down to page 2/3?

Well I am already better as I rank no.1 for lots of kw's over my competition. I just want to knock them down off the first page of results.

The keyword is not a huge traffic keyword and should be very easy to knock my competition down on but it's just not working. I've generated lots of blogs/articles with unique content all using the targeted keyword but the competition just doesn't seem to budge.

Instead of smashing your competition. Promote supporting sites. Make backlinks to the sites that you think would give you a benefit. Push them in the top 10 and put your competition in the second page. This is more ethical than smashing your competition.

More than likely a bit of luck. Which is why I'm steering to the BH world.

The keyword appears in my domain name and is also part of my company name. I would have thought that a few blogs/articles with a few links from my site would help? This hasn't happened. I'm a PR5 site

You have hit the nail on the head. It's taken me a lot of work to get my site to where it is right now. Hence why I thought it wasn't such a bad idea for me ask how to knock him down the results.

I can take the White Hat route if you guys think it would be best. But whatever happens, I need this guy knocked down to page 3/4

optimised sites? I've been doing mainly article submission/blog generating. All done manually. Is this where I have been going wrong?

A newly created optimised site based around my company name seems to make sense but what would I put on it? The keyword I am targeting is basically my own company name.

A site saying 'my company name is amazing', 'only use my company name' sounds a bit false to me.

Part of me has had it with the hard work of SEO, that's why I want to dip into the black hat side of things - hopefully you guys will be able to help

well man, it's not impossible to own the first page, or most of it... i have websites that trough their own pages, or trough articles and forum posts advertising it completely OWN the first page, so my advice to you is try a little harder and you'll get there.

simple, just use a public proxy and click bomb him if he has adsense. Give him a 100% ctr for a week and he will be gone or at least sandboxed for a while.
