Been doing a little bit of Pinterest lately(for about a year or more) now,. Some account started gaining traction but from yesterday up to this point I noticed a massive drop in impression, engagements and outbound clicks.

As of today, the outbound clicks are down by over 70%.

Attached are some screenshots for two different sites in two different niches.

The circled area are for yesterday when I began to notice the dip. Algo change? Shadow ban? What do you think it could be? What about you, any similar experience starting yesterday?
@korni and @Almostbr0ke and anyone else running a Pinterest journey, what do you think?

By the way, I've done a shadow ban test of searching for username, and it does produce the username as a result. However when I search for a pin with the exact title, it doesn't appear even if I scroll 100 pins. So, I don't know if it's a shadow ban or note.

That is pretty strange, to be honest I have no idea. I would wait couple of days. Just out of curiosity. Did you have many popular pins or only one or two that were brining majority of impressions?

Are you using more acc per one IP? How many pins per day do you use? Do you have one acc per domain?

100% an algo update. The same thing has happened to my account.

I've seen a massive dip like this before, and it bounced back to normal after a day, but there is no guarantee that it will happen again. Your title is spot on, btw.

I do have many popular pins for both accounts.

About 10+ pins on each account. These accounts are on different IPs(one VPN, one just my regular Internet. But I don't think IPs are the issue since Pinterest have said it before it doesn't matter.

I'm glad it's not just me or my account

It's crazy!

That's the only title I could think of and it reminds me why one shouldn't rely on a single traffic source. Many websites and businesses were literally killed by Google.

The timing couldn't have been worse. Yesterday, I reapplied to MV after they rejected me on the first try, lol.

Yeah, but it takes time to master one traffic source. You can't get good at everything all at once.

Let's hope for a reversal, or these accounts will soon be useless.

MV rejected you even when you're on Journey already? I thought the transition would be easy. What was their reason?

By the way, one of my sites fot accepted to Journey very recently (less than a week)

I'm hoping for that, would keep pinning. Would have done some ads to see what goes but not now.

I thought so, too. MV is notorious for not giving a specific reason, and my case is no different. This is what they told me after I asked for more explanation:
"We understand that no specific answer can be a little frustrating. However, it is important to recognize that Journey is a separate offering from our Mediavine program and therefore has different quality standards."
Before my second application, I completely revamped my homepage, which wasn't ugly or your typical blog roll niche site, but it wasn't amazing either. I also completely transitioned the main purpose of the site. I don't know if that makes any sense, but let's say it's not a "blog" anymore.
By the way, one of my sites fot accepted to Journey very recently (less than a week)
Congratz! Journey is amazing. I can see Ezoic filing for bankruptcy very soon.

I tried Ezoic my site started going offline multiple times daily. It was crazy. This even before I got a response from their application. I had to remove it.

Since the RPM difference between MV and Journey practically does not exist, staying with Journey for a while isn't bad.

well, I hope that ezoic won't get under any time soon..
Anyway, I have checked analytics of multiple accounts I I don't see drop like you. But my accounts are a lot smaller and not as aged. Is it possible, that they are prioritizing new content?

probably some form of G update messing with your metrics
Less likely, but still possible. I'll monitor for the next few days.

I am seeing recovery too , I can confirm my CTR is lower than usual. I think some update messed up for everyone.
The positive side of this is that it is not a shadowban

I see a little dip as well ( on 5 my accounts), and looks like today it remain the same. I assume it's some algo update, usually it takes a week to get back to normal in my case, but who knows how it will be this time.

Do y’all keep posting the same amount as before? And how many pins per day usually?

You can send visitors to the website with Pinterest. This is a method that has been used for a long time. However, these visitors do not browse the site (very unlikely to stay on the site). This is also undesirable for google. This may be the reason

At this point, I think it's clearly evident that Pinterest is just as bad or even worse than Google.

Across the web, the above is the kind of graph you see. From high to medium-low down to absolute zero!
