If you need a proxy that is cheap and easy to set up and doesn't need to handle sensitive data, an HTTP proxy is probably the best choice. If you need a more secure proxy that can handle multiple types of traffic and are willing to spend more time configuring it, the SOCKS proxy is the best choice!
