I've never used an iPhone but the Go-Pro is a stand alone camera that you can get attachments such as a chest harness to hold it, a head harness to hold it, and a tripod to hold it.
It is quite versatile and creates nice content.

I use the ip15 promax to edit and record videos... Everything is great, but if you want to create content related to videos and images, I recommend you buy yourself a Sony camera (if If you're a professional, use Sony Alpha, if you're an amateur, you can use Sony ZV).
