[Journey] Building an iOS & Android App Empire

Mobile game should be the best for apps. You can try strategic, battle games and must include there in game purchase option for varieties elements. Best of luck with your journey

From my experience mobile games are probably the worst. The market is so saturated with great and high budget games, that you either: need a really big budget or you have to spend months to create a great game.

You think it could be safe?
I heard about issues with binary delivery to appstore on hackintosh.
I would suggest to go with a new app and. Would suggest to build it with react native expo.build using eas build as the app will be built and published from their servers .you need just to provide a new account credentials and pay their premium subscription

No. not at all. I had saw many spenders, who play game and spend money for develop their profile to more stronger than other. It is called in game purchase. You should need to research first which type game would be greatest.

You already contradict yourself in there.

You say "no, not at all", but then you say "develop their profile to more stronger than other" which already means the following: You have to create a system and an entire game, which is worth it to do the IAP, then you need a large userbase to get them into competition with each other.

You can not just build a random game, add some IAP and then get app installs.

What about the UX? What about all the sounds? Backend? Items? Graphics? Dialogues? Etc. And most of it all: It has to be fun.

You should do some research. Because I already made and published games on Google Play and Apple.

Don't believe me? Go ahaead and try it by yourself.

Btw. if you would have read my thread you would already know all of this and you would also know that I know what IAPs are.

Next Hubz Limited

Mobile games niche is saturated, I promote 100's of apps. And trust me, unless you got money to burn, games is just hard. Not to mention if you want to do something from 0, it's gonna cost a fortune.

While mobile apps, are easier to develop, reskin and etc. also promotion is more effective as well :)

Its just a huge misconception and a reason why so many people fail and make no money. They think its easy and they could just make or reskin a random game, but then after a little while they figure out it was a complete waste of time

better than spending 1000$ , also one guy on BHW has jounrey thread and he is doing in VMware

Have you ever thought about using react-native, this could allow you to develop a app once and it will be compiled for both app stores.

No, didn't use it. I used Flutter for a while. But whenever they release updates, I had to change so much of my code it became really time consuming.

Why would u update your code every time they release updates if u don't wanna ad new features to your app?

Thats the thing right. Some SDKs/pubs become deprecated and not work anymore, then I have to update them. Then, I get endless errors saying "xyz needs to be updated, because xyz depends on version x.x from sdk zxy" and then you have to update more and more SDKs and change more and more.

It happened to me quite often and its just time consuming and annoying.

For third party sdk you are right .I have been using react native for last three years and that problem has happened to me twice

I want to try mediation/waterfall in some apps and I add apps to Facebook Meta but last 10 days that apps are in review. How much time they need to app review, they said less then 72h but that is not true xD

I think one of the best ways to get examples of how to monetise apps/the strategies behind them is to download multiple random apps that seem useful, engage with them and note all the ways in which they try to make money off you. I have come across some pretty clever approaches to monetising apps that I would never have thought about had I not interacted with the apps.

I completely agree. This is also what I do. When I get into a niche, I downloaded 5-6 apps and write down all the things I notice, all the features, and so on.

My plan is to make apps for Android and iOS in different niches. Later on I will give it a try with mobile games. I want to provide the users with the best possible quality, also in order to get a high retention. I am not going to make easy apps like Wallpaper downloads or something, but something more useful and meaningful.

My main motivation is NOT money. It is to build something sustainable. However, there is A LOT of money to make in the mobile/mobile gaming industry, it is not a secret. Some guys would say it is saturated, but I don't believe so. I just have to be better than the competition. I am willing to go this extra mile.

About me making apps so far:

I started from scratch on February 2020. I had no coding skills and was totally overhelmed with all the knowledge, coding stuff, etc. However, I managed to get the basics and improved step by step. Always learned something new on the way. It was all about getting into this mobile app industry, testing and making experience.

So far I made and monetized around 5 apps so far. I tested the limits, how far I can go until the apps get removed, and also how far I can go with the advertising. There are so many things to consider when making apps. Also, so far I made around $5k or more with apps.

What I got:

- Marketing skills
- iOS and Android developer account
- Ad network accounts
- Knowledge about the market, what I can do and what I shouldn't do (also in regards of Google and their policies)

How will you monetize the apps?

Through ads only so far. I don't plan to implement in-app purchases at this moment.

What ad networks are you going to use?

Admob (has the best eCPM from my experience), Facebook Audience Network/FAN and for some apps Appodeal mediation.

How will you make the apps?

With Swift, Java and for some I will use Flutter.

How will you drive traffic?

Through ads, SEO, social media, in-app ads and ASO

Will you use or do any Blackhat techniques/apps?

No, everything will be whitehat. I found Google has this "zero tolerance" approach on Apps and also on Adsense/Admob. They will directly delete/suspend your account/apps without any chance of reinstating. Basically they don't give a fuck. I don't wanna give them any chance to delete or suspend my account, therefore everything is going to be legit.

Please keep in mind: I don't want to make any apps or my niches public on here. I know many guys (especially in the app business) are copying, using some blackhat techniques or trying to damage/report each other. I want to prevent this from happening.
Good luck. Keep us posted.

I just noticed I didn't update for last month.

Basically all is same. The revenue was exactly the same.

What did I do so far this month?
So far in this month, I focused on one thing: Creating creatives for TikTok and Meta ads. Creating these videos and images might seem easy, but it is certainly difficult to create ones with a high CTR. So I spend a lot of time to check what ads my competition is successfully running and I somehow replicated it in my own way (didn't steal theirs, just got inspiration).

The goal is to scale the apps. Mostly I used Google Ads to drive paid traffic to the apps. But I am sure Google Ads doesn't give me the best possible (lowest CPI and CPC) results.

What I need to do is create really good creatives that will give me a really low CPI so I can scale the most cost-effective way.

Also, I will spend around $400 for keyword installs for around 4-5 different apps.

So you decided to scale in quality and traffic and not the quantity of the apps? Why is that? I thought you were trying to find this "one time hit".
