I needed to watch more than 5 mins of their video ads (2 ads at a time from the beginning) consecutively to watch a 5.55 mins video.

By the way, there is no skip button there.

What do you think?

Won't it hamper the UX?

It's a marketing platform like facebook.

Some value is there like terry davis and maybe some Joe Rogan podcasts.

Though if someone like me is on that site, it's naturally gonna be spammed to hell.

There is no definite answer in anything in youtube, youtube is a never-ending train of overpromising and underdelivering.

What happens to a person when everyday all promises are betrayed? He turns into an apathetic being not caring for anything but himself.
 
Mostly of tiktok, Youtube is too hard now.
Earlier youtube closed eyes for blackhat stuffs...

Well, that was always frowned upon. Today they just detect your views and actions quicker.

If you're an adult, you can think like an adult. Find your way.

You can think of it like physics or chemistry. A system of things that are interconnected.

Act like a child, get child results.

Infant marketers go to TikTok. It's easy to understand. It doesn't take much to make a 15 secs video. Yet even with this a lot of people struggle. They think they need to copy someone or rip something. Geez.

They will go any extent to make you purchase their premium membership. Btw, try watching in TV, you cant skip the ads that last for 50-60 seconds at the video beginning itself.
 
YT Premium is BY FAR the best paid membership I have. And I have every single OTT platform in existence. I can't fathom using YT without premium any more.

Is that actually localized? I wouldn't guess in 1000 years that youtube / google is giving offers based on locale.

I heard it's what happens on TikTok, that if you have a US SIM and settings, you get US traffic lol. But YouTube? They doing that too?

It seems to become standard practice. Twitch changed all their subscription prices last year to be in accordance with a currency's purchasing power as well.

I don't know mate. They wanted me to pay like 29.99€ per month in Germany for the family plan. But at this time I was in Japan and now I just pay like 15€ per month. I have no idea why. Some other people I know made the subscription when they were on holiday in Turkey and they pay much less.

Then I'll be on residential proxies with some foreign language.

It's an easy business for resell. I'm not gonna sell that but someone probably does.
