Link velocity inquiry - how much is too fast?

Hey there,


I asked reddit this opinion but wanted to get this forums perspective on link velocity for a new domain.


So as follows: I have a new domain that I bought over a month ago with just 1 backlink. I'm about to release 10 blog posts on my site, and I want to acquire 10 high quality guest posts from well established and trust worthy sites to link back to my blogs and homepage.

Now can anything go wrong here? We're not talking about low quality backlinks either. Only thing I might be worried about is being penalized by Google for this.


Looking for personal insights on this and anyone who has done something similar with a brand new site.
