every "AI overview" type feature I've used sucks (on Google, on Quora), because ultimately, these things are just doing RAG on the existing data - - if the existing data is inaccurate/has trolling or sarcasm (things that language models can't reliably do sentiment analysis on), the AI overview will reflect those inaccuracies.

That's bad
they should disable that especially for questions related to health

Flaws are natural...not natural is the fact that they allowed this kind of unfinished beta version to be published and available for everyone

They wanted to arrive early in AI space after increasing craze for chatgpt. And the result was this third class product.

thing is i want to go visit the websites that it is picking this information up from to figure out context. It is dodgy, but the problem is with source material obviously, why is there a link to a site saying geologists should eat a small rock per day. lol

If anything, their generative AI implementation is a 1:1 representation of how they have been deploying their algorithms.

No wander... they train their AI on reddit comments

This is new technology so flaws are natural. It wil take time to perfect itself.
Right, then they shouldn't have deployed it. AI just isn't there yet. It is not a 'press button give solution' thing, at least not yet.

Agreed, wonder if it will ever get to a point where it can tell the difference with high accuracy.

Lol yeah! Google is losing the AI war by a very large margin.

They probably haven't deployed this yet, I wonder didn't these flaws shine through in any testing they would've been doing prior.

Also, running with scissors is a great cardio, especially recommended for small children.

Google's recommendations for health:
  • Run with scissors (keep them close to your balls)
  • Eat rocks (small rocks so that you can swallow them without complaining)
  • Drink urine (light color and good fragrance)
  • Eat glue (non-toxic only so that you can keep paying for youtube premium)

this is data from their favorite place, the reddit dumpster.
