It is a bit whimsical and most of us have fun with them and most of us love them but take his mindset a few KMs (yeah, I live in the USA but I try to cater to the broader audience) deeper.

Many of us suck at having fun but it is so important, especially when you are having a bad day or a bad stretch, and even when life is giving you lemonade instead of just lemons.

Fun at any age, and I've experienced a lot of ages, as has he, is important for your mental well being.

Bad times, don't go to the gym unless you like to work out. I'm not a member of any gyms and don't consider working out even remotely fun myself.

Go to a restaurant that has a cuisine that you really like that you have never been to.

Go to a restaurant that has a cuisine you have never tried and experience a different world.

Go fishing, swimming, sailing, boating (you can rent sailboats, motorboats and even row boats) so you don't have to lay out 50K for a vessel. Fishing is cheap and you can pick up a rod (not a fishing pole as that is a person from Poland that fishes )and reel for a nominal amount.

Take your bike(s) and put them in the back of your car, or if you have a bike rack which we do, put them there and go somewhere that you have never been to and enjoy a different realm as well as broaden your horizons.

Go to open houses where they are selling houses that are well out of your price range and see how the people on the other side of the tracks live. If you do what I used to do, engage the seller or the real estate agent and discuss the neighborhood, the schools, the local shopping and eateries. That is a lot of fun if you have never done that.

Grab your golf clubs and go play at a club where you are not a member. It is challenging as a new course has nuances you do not know about but makes life interesting for 4 hours or so.

Call up a friend or family member that you are tight with and have them bust your stones and you bust theirs. That is a family tradition in my family, especially with one of my younger brothers and there are no rules as to how hard one comes at the other as it is all in good fun. Not unlike the Comedy Central Roasts that are on the idiot tube.

Find the contact information of an old friend that you have not talked with in years and call them up and see how their lives are. I've done that with childhood friends and you will almost always find out that they have lived an interesting life. That can be a life changer in some instances and will enhance their lives as well as yours.

I'd say take dancing lessons but I have 2 left feet, no rhythm and am unteachable but one of my sons does that as he is gifted there past what one would expect being my offspring.

Cooking classes can be more fun than a barrel of monkeys as you not only learn, you get to interact with someone who is an excellent cook or chef and get to interact with others there. Be sure to pick a cuisine with which you are unfamiliar if possible.

Go build/create something... it can be a bird house, a model car or boat that you buy at a hobby shop or anything that suits your fancy.

I'm sure that there are a myriad of other ideas that I could never come up with as I'm not the most creative person on the planet so kick these thoughts around and if you have more suggestions, I'd love to hear them and I'm sure many others would as well.

This post is generated from @RoiBox's Friday threads and I just took his mindset and put it on paper so kudos to him for that.

Why not?
Sometimes people just need to know, your day may be bad, but someone else had it worse
so, gear up and move forward :)
I'm busting your chops... if you think that is a good idea, have at it.

If you were my younger brother I would have posted something that is unprintable almost anywhere.

I´m happy I could touch someone with a good vibe, that is what it is all about. Thanks for your thoughts.
What can I say? You are good at touching.

@BassTrackerBoats There is no heart reaction. :( Can we have a heart reaction only for this thread?

@RoiBox knows how to get real ROI from his threads :D

Yeah, also shocked reaction for most lounge threads xD

Jokes on the side, Roi has been doing an amazing job sharing positive energy all over BHW.

I'm sure your Friday threads touch a lot more people than they let on.

A 5% positive response usually indicates an 80%
We'll give BTB until next week to collect all the sanity he needs & start on the 7th ;)
I would need a year of therapy and a team of therapists to collect any sanity, as most know, I've not been on that train for about 50 years.

You would do a fine job there so roll with it when you are comfortable.

Yes, I know and it is what my intention was with the threads. Damn I had some fine 12% stouts with the dinner today and getting buzzed on a Monday it seems. Life is good, keep up the positive hustling. The money is out there.
