no rank and rent model. rank in a city and rent to a business (lead gen)

the only people truly doing well in R/r are the course sellers teaching you how to RNR

I've not done it in a while but the general business model is profitable.

You can also rank, collect leads and sell them to local businesses as I have done that and is also profitable but more work because you have to interact with your buyers.

It depends on your approach , you can try hiring people to automate work if you feel it's taking too much time.
