Hello all,

Im using Google Ads for my own website, and there is another site competing with me that always appears in the first results before my website in all keywords.

knowing that I included all the relative keywords and I use “Pharse” match type for my keywords, and my Google Ads account is new and unverified, and I use a specific budget daily for the campaign.

While the Competitor website uses an old verified Google account.

So what is the reason ? and how i can rank first always ?

Thanks,

I have 4 different marketing sites I use to generate traffic to my website and I have seen changes in my site placing on google search… I think you can try that too.. and it’s not about how old your page is… it’s about how often people visit your site

My website already ranking in first results in google search for most main keywords and have already traffic, but when it is become to google ads the competitor always shows first for all keywords

Have you tried increasing the bid and quality score?

Ads are sorted based on Ad Rank, which is the multiplication of quality score and CPC bid (on max conv it's conv rate*cpa bid).

If you want to rank higher, you can improve your QS by improving your CTR (80%) or make sure your landing page is very relevant to the keywords and have great UX (20%) or simply raise your bids.

Note that using ad extensions can also impact your CTR and improve your QS as a result, so if you're not using extensions, you should start from there.

Improving your QS from 6 to 8 would have the same impact on the Ad Rank as raising your bid by 33%.

Exactly what Roydan said.
Since you said you are using phrase match, one simple way to increase CTR is adding negative keywords by looking at "insights and reports" and "search terms".
If there are any random search terms there that aren't that relevant and have a low CTR, your overall CTR % will increase if you block them out. + You won't waste your budget on useless search terms.

Google will add a lot of garbage search terms to your search that might not be relevant at all, especially with broad or phrase match.

Thanks a lot, I optimized my ads also added many assest and improved the quality score to more than 80%. And my CTR is around 20% rn . But I still use "Pharse" words, and I saw in the search terms that all the words are also related, but some of them are like questions and some in other langauge. Is it better to make the keywords "exact", which will improve the CTR too?

Exact match keywords would limit your reach and won't necessarily improve your QS as long as you're using enough negative keywords.
If your QS is 8, you need to see which part (if any) is not above average:
1. Expected CTR (probably above avg)
2. Ad relevancy
3. LP experience

They all might be above average, and then it's just a matter of optimizing CTR and conversion rate (if you're using a conversion guided bidding strategy).

It's really difficult to say as it is very dependant on what keywords you use.

For example, you might have a phrase match for "best basketball shoes", which will throw in all kinds of weird things, or you might have "air jordans basketball shoes", which should throw a lot less weird search terms in there.

Only way to find out is just letting it run and analyzing the data.

If you are doing conversion tracking and tCPA campaigns phrase match is a good idea. If you're doing manual CPC I would use exact match.

You have this nailed like a science.

i won't write big paragraps, but use 2 keywords instead : Bid + Quality-Score

That's it
