Does anyone use .blog domain extension?

According to our network 10k + websites indicated not getting higher ctr rate based in our data. also one more thing there is nothing Google declared in their guidelines about extensions just one exception there and that is the premium domains. And its not give you the ranking just helping you out passing validity stage faster
So the only real proof or case study results you could find is that SEO is not affected at all by cctld or any other tlds, except for premium tlds.

The only factor is CTR due to users prefering to click on .com (which in the end affects seo)

Is this correct?

So a website that is .tv, .to, .shop or .video will perform just as good as a .com ?

Happy weekend !

We built the PBN framework first, over 2.5 years before we deployed the first site, after that it became automation really and we focused mainly on niche and the purpose is generating ad income.

I`m sending you via PM to our architecture if you interested in technicals.

Is this correct? Yes but users doesn`t care the extension also, think about it if you see a page on top of google in the first are you thinking about the extension ? Google doesn`t care also actually premium tld extensions first announced by Google incorporating with ICANN.

also big SaaS companies also uses .io extension as a proof

only side is psychological side as you said of users but when it comes SEO no effect , which will not make sense also if there is a solid reason other TLD`s except .com rank worse , who would buy or promote them ?

Till few months ago Google Domains was selling them until pass the operation to SquareSpace.

Also this customs TLD`s I mean some of them ranked as premium domains cause the specified category they in so it beneficial also like example.finance

I remembered purchasing a premium domain ` Namecheap` called to verify us same extension being released by Google itself !.

Thanks

yes please send me a pm so I can better understand it (I'm not a tech nerd...) can't imagine to build a website network with 10k pages(?) yes ok, build 5 niche sites each has 2000 pages and interlink them all. so you have a satellite network and have 10k pages.... this I have no win my mind....are you a google news publisher and get a lot of traffic and make cold traffic sales with affiliate products?

I meant 10k different websites each average 50 pages depends on topical authority

we don`t do affiliate we did use for google unaccepted ones goes to other publishers also some google news have it. Sponsored areas goes to Traffic DSP`s we renting banner areas to them.

Thank you for your interesting pm- do you doing autoblogging ?

Hava a happy saturday !

Don't do it. Google will put you on blacklist from the get go.
Build a ecomm store or a saas app using a .com domain and on the sideline add a blog.
Since when google put you on a blacklist when you using new tld domains ?

Then it's cheaper to add your "sideline" with a "blog" subcategory or subdomain with th efree tools wordpress cms give you.
On the other side, so many people prefer com domain, many users too, they type in more the com/net then any other tld domain name.

When that is so, why on the heck, many new tld extensions have higher renewal prices than a com domain? I mean when there is less demand then the price goes down-right? But I see the opposite with these new tld domains.
Not laugh now I see on the biggest shady criminal webhoster gofokkerdaddy, the renewal price for a blog domain is hefty with $44 !

Who else who have a sane mind is paying such shitty prices for domain renewal today?
I not understand.....

Since March 2024 update. Google already hates blog. Never talks about blog in its papers, articles, documentations always talks about sites and pages instead of blogs and posts. March 2024 update was the last straw...

Ok but why then are the .blog tld domain renewal prices so high when there is no demand ?
With the logics of these reistrars then the .site tld domain renewal price must be higher because of higher demand, I will never understand this domain market.

Then we look at cnn, bloomberg, wsj all these big media news sites, where is here the difference between "blogging" and a "news" site ? I'm writing daily I do blogging, so with news, I writing news every day which is some sort of blogging too.
News have more value than any blog topics ? When we look at the ads commercial perspective, then yes.

But out there are many big blogs who get huge traffic and never got a google punishment, they not are into the big topics/categories, they are lurking around the corner (obscure niches) but hard to find these niches.
Type in steve pavlina blogs he domainate the google first page (indented search) .

Dude, google plans to remove the indented search feature so that each website will only showing two serp listings, we will see if they do that with their wef members/friends big media sites too...
Does google plans to consolidate categories too, so that any website or ecommecre store will only have two categories serp listings showing ?

There is no logic, domain prices don't have logic, their renewals prices don't have any logic. You are thinking too much into it.

Doesn't matter. Personally I'd go for the domain name extension that's cheap and works for the brand I'm trying to set up, as long as it's not a known bad extension. .blog is perfectly fine and I'd prefere something like bread.blog vs theverybestbread.com if I'm trying to start a blog on bread. That's just an example ofc.

There's really no difference between. Com and .blog and Google doesn't discriminate.

Yes I have this little bit of habits sometimes to think too much (which would be less actions...)
Normal in economic it ha sit's own "logic" which means; high demand = higher prices, low demand= lower prices
Except you buy something or services in bulk= less price (bulk discount)

But not like this; low demand= higher prices which sounds absurd.
Ok stop thinking back to action now on my web project.....

On the other side millions of users doing intent/ keyword search everyday with the word "brand name or keyword+ blog" .....

With that in mind, it could not be a bad idea to have a blog domain, would this combination not give google a higher signal of topic authority?

Peace and happy sunday!

Since when google does hates blogs ?

I personally wouldn't use such extension unless the keyword was really, really, really good. sex.blog? If that was available, it would always be valuable. But for a less remarkable keyword, "blog" just seems too limiting

Yep I agree with you, the word "blog" not looks commercial intent , many people will type in like astronomy blog, pet blog etc,etc this is not enough commercial intent you want make money... I no tthink many people will type in digital coach blog in google.... (?) here you can use a .digital domain.

The link from the seo analysis in my previous post it looks like when you not know what you are doing then not use new TLD domains, ok .store is commercial intent that's cklear.

site, online, life, etc, etc, not enough commercial intent, .digital I would say you can use, or xyz, or live, tv, video when you have a video website or entertainment or conspiracy site, or .news domain would not be bad I think so...
.me, .life, .blog, sounds too much hobbyish- non commercial intent.,.

When you not know what you are doing then better stay with the more common used domains like; com, net, org or maybe xyz.

I hope I have understood you right....

From my experience, the TLD doesn't seem influence SEO a lot, as long as you provide quality content.

It's not only seo ranking, it's about getting high click rates and high impressions from organic traffic.
