Hi, is there anyone who uses .blog domain extension? Does it make any difference for SEO? (I don't think it does tho)

I will prefer .com over .blog even if any one say it does not make any difference.

I think you can stand out a little bit more off the crowd in the modern AI tech world with a.me or .blog domain it will stand for you, or "it's me" showing be more authentic in the modern world with all the fantasy branding names.
Use it when you offer personal services like, copywriting, seo, coaching, webdesign.....with your personal name or firstname.
Now the famous tim.blog comes up in my mind (Tim Ferris). With the firstname it would look like;
john.me or johns.blog, adams.blog....I hope you get it gotcha?
But I'm not sure if you can use this domain for an email address? I guess that I would prefer more a common use com email address. Or can you mix it; have the adams.blog domain and an [email protected] email address, would that make users more confusing or more comfortable ?
What do you think ?

That makes sense, cuz I never thought about emails. It would look bad if I had it like [email protected], and it would be impossible for me to get .com version of same email since I won't have the .com domain. If I had the chance I would buy .com but it was taken

Say your full name is Adam Caesar Smith (lol....)
and the full name is taken.
you can do this;
use a .net domain
use variations of your name like;
Adamcaesar.com
Acaesar.com
Asmith.com
ACsmith.com (alot of com domains are available with this)
when they are all taken then use this:
theasmith.com / shorter: thesmith.com
theacsmith.com...
or with "That" or "This" or "get" as prefix.
or get more creative with this path;
asmithblog.com
asmithmarketing.com
asmithcoach.com

Btw, this question is kinda of outdated, cuz I bought an .ai domain which made more sense since I have a AI SaaS coming out. Thanks for all of your help.

. Com is best. If it is not available, you can choose anything else, they will have same effect if other efforts are same.

Yes I think so too,but I have the theory when it comes to branding, personal branding like ;
Johnagency, Johnmarketing,
Johncoach or something or a brand fantasy name...no matter what.
Think of it like hubspot, you "John" have a SEO blog with multiple categories.
Then your domain; Johns.blog
Then your page title: John's SEO Blogs
I bet you will stand out in the serps in the front of all listed .com domains and you will get the best ctr of all.
With some time people type in Google: johns seo blogs and all your domains popping up in the serps....
That are the thoughts who comes Up in my mind.
Least; when your domain is available, buy a com domain too, use it as e-mail address it sounds more common use.
Set redirect in your DNS from the com domain too the blog domain- voila!
When people type in google your domain com instead of blog , it redirects them to your blog domain site, they learn and recognize that your domain is blog and your email address is com.
Do "smartdomain" .......do a domain twist ...

According to our network 10k + websites indicated not getting higher ctr rate based in our data. also one more thing there is nothing Google declared in their guidelines about extensions just one exception there and that is the premium domains. And its not give you the ranking just helping you out passing validity stage faster
