well i guess and i mean no dis-respect - when its not your forum the people who
own it can change it to what ever they like, they dont need our permission
all we can do is grumble and move on . that's life .

just my gentle feedback forum can be any sort of design -- we'll all still be here for the community.

@Zwielicht Eyes are hurting,its more difficult to read.Young people maybe have no problem but a bit older ones who are in the industry for a long time and no more the best eyes are getting quickly tired as reading is difficult.Its no more fun/relax to read but simple hard work which makes you quickly tired.

Using a forum which makes you tired makes no sense.
You turned basicly a nice reading forum into a nightmare reading forum and i don't care about colours at all

It's not that it's "being allowed", a moderator just hadn't processed the report.

When there's an issue, a moderator will take action against the content if it's deemed appropriate or if they feel it's derailing the thread.

I'm sorry to hear your eyes hurting, but as I've mentioned in another post, I can't modify the theme in any way, so tagging me or other moderators won't change anything.

What you can do, however, is post as much information as you can on what you believe is causing the eye strain. The designers who worked on this theme are actively reviewing feedback in this thread.

If there are suggestions that any of you have regarding bugs or the layout, just post them in this thread as all of the posts are being reviewed by the design team. Please don't tag me or any of the specific moderators in this as we can't edit the theme.

Most of these issues that have been brought up, will likely be tolerated by those who have stuck along here for a long time, but what worries me the most is how new members perceive this community when they first land on it. It's not looking professional and doesn't give a vibe of a marketing community at all.

The design is from the 2000s and kinda resembles some old Texas Holdem forums that I used to visit back in my teenage days.

If it was that important to come up with a change then why didn't you just hire a professional agency for the redesign...? Someone who actually does this for a living.

Aside from the theme contrasts sucking and hurting eyes, the usernames being tags just like the jr.vip and other is a fail. Usernames should not be same as tags.

It’s no longer black hat world. We’ve gone from black to grey or army green. Am
Not even sure what colour this is. But it’s definitely not black. The entire world has changed.
It’s hard enough what thier teaching our kids in school these days. Now I gotta deal with black is grey aswell. I prefer the old design it was way more vibrant and realistic. If your gonna redesign my my entire . At least make sure black is black. cats is cats and dogs are dogs.
Do apologies is this offends anyone who actually loved this and thinks cats can become dogs.

100% there should be something making Jr.VIPs, Jr.Exec much more different than standard and premium user.
Currently problem when new user visit BHW, he have no clue if Jr.VIP is better than Elite Member or Exec give more value than Premium.
Reaction scores should be also there. 3 lines are not bad.
We have then clear message if user is serious, or some newbie registered 1 month ago created 100 posts.

Well. Technically... It would be possible.. just need to fetch cookies and session tokens and then write an app in React or Vue and you would have your own GUI for BHW, could even host on a domain and make public. Or make a middleware on a separate domain that would proxy from your domain to forums domain and intercept forums responses and rewriting paths to static assets like stylesheets and javascript files haha. A lot of work tho. Better to simply apply CSS changes in your browser and hope that design team will go through suggestions

Hold your horses, you went too high of a budget. You work at corporate? I think so as the technology you mentioned seems to suit corporate well.

All that is required is:

1. Choose colors of your choice from RGBA palette.
2. Print HTML based on user input.
3. Tell user instructions to install it in browser.
4. Provide a library of user generated templates.

You gotta bootstrap like the budget ain't gonna cross $20.

Add voting system for best themes as a bonus.

A consideration, I understand about needing consistency and the color branding that was preserved from old theme into the new BHW.
A possibility to tweak it while still maintaining that consistency.
Moving around some of the color schemes such as switching the dark gold (6a552f) to Lighter Gold (c2ae70) in some areas and moving white ones over to Dark Gold etc.
Such as the following


But with a bit more tweaks like, Red in Forums such its the area Im at.
My name in White instead of Black.
No gaps etc between the name and inbox.
Potentially even keep the subheadings (Live Feed, New Post) theme and implement it into the What's new/New Post area too for consistency.

Feedback ratings that show up in conversation

The underline under them is nearly non-existent and im already 110% zoomed in.
Probably a much better option to have the number lit up as Gold instead.

Long post (like this one) shows empty white space.
Instead, maybe our avatar and metadata should slider along down with it
