how to get back the old one?

I understand back ends were rewritten and no way to switch back.

But! There is a way to go back to old style 100%!

That is, someone on the forum can code a CSS browser plugin and change BHW CSS style to old version, one click and volia! You are using old style BHW!

I saw this thing before, so hope someone can develop this plugin, the left can use new style as they wish.

Personally, I won't say new style is ugly, it is just distracting, golden here lines/boxeds there, I can't read texts well (now let me think of the warriorforum design), and avatar is much smaller, reaction scores should show directly, etc, and some minors quirks need to be fixed.

Using mobile white theme. Looks amazing!

- a bit bigger text, just barely.
- i will need that reaction score back. I dont scroll with both my hands on mobile, and moving my finger to check out reaction score all across the screen wont happen. (its e-e-a-t in BHW)
- also, i might listen to SEO advice from someone with positive score, but not negative. Bring it back!
- let me select page at top of the thread too on mobile.

Everything else looks good. Its faster, contrast is great.

Should have name, Jr vip etc and information start at the same point tho. Name looks misplaced when looking at Jr vip at the same time.

I kind of like the new CSS, but it's a shame that the reaction score is no longer visible in the threads. In my opinion, it is quite a useful metric for getting a first impression of fellow BHW users.

There are two differnet colors # for Jr VIP
You have #0033cc for the top and #0008e3 for the bottom

And the bottom is too bright, the 0033cc looks alot cleaner and nicer.

Then we have random non-round edges & sharp edges too..
Surely that shouldn't be the case.

Nice spot. The Jr. VIP colour has been made consistent as per the above.

Increase the font size
Return the reaction score (100 users have already requested this), we understand you want to take less space but don't do it by ruining the good things (i know we can see it by hovering the mouse to the username)
Remove the Underline in the reactions, it looks pretty bad with the underline
Make the usernames in the reactions bold like it was in the old theme
Make the avatars bigger
The quality of the emojis is shit, fix them
There is a white background in the emojis, remove it

I don't know if it's just me or reading the forum is a lot harder now.

Something is off with these colors... I can't separate things properly.

Interesting, anywhere specifically or whole forum?

Personally, I like the new look, just don't like a light grey color and repeated characters on the side.

Made small tweak below:
1. Changed the light gray color to black. Those gray hurt my eye and is distracting.
2. Removed role text and just covered it with the role ribbon

One thing I’d like to see is the text of usernames be bold.

Or maybe more bold as the the member level/type goes up? Regular member, jr vip, jr exec, etc.

This is an interesting idea, but bold on the forum is usually used to represent unread/new content, so it's not something we'd be looking at right now, as it wasn't the case with the old style.

Right now, the contrast between font and background is awful and the font size is not right for this kind of design.

Please make these two simple changes, and the forum will be instantly more readable:

Change the font size to 16px (1.6 in relative)

Change the text font color to "#000000".

I am attaching the result of doing these two simple changes.

Thanks for your opinion and specific feedback. Font size is something we're looking at.
That white font color isn't going to work for all the accessibility reasons we've mentioned previously.

I feel like people here are really angry.

You better think of it cold when clients don't bitch at you.

All that can be done is adding personal changes options in preferences tab. A user could choose font size and line height on their own in preferences.

If you've aligned your content a specific way, then it will apply that alignment accordingly.

Some people like it, some will hate it.
It's on every established website when change the layout.
We cannot please everyone.

Some tip to designer:
-do not mix curves with squares in buttons, currently the most modern are squares
-this golden stroke everywhere is terrible
-do not mix font styles and colors in logos

Check Material Design dark variants. It's so cool and moderate.

Screenshots of what you're seeing would be appreciated, a picture tells a thousand words for example "The golden stroke everywhere is terrible".

Correct Sigs are now aligned centre by default, in line with the rest of the forum advertising, for consistency across the forum.

I hate to be that ass**le but the old theme was 100 times better.

- Navigating through the forum became harder than it used to be.
- The red is a bit meh
- Outlining each section made it look confusing
- Usernames and titles are better in the old version

I think it's better to give the users an option to switch to the old one.

Interesting as the navigation hasn't changed - can you share how you feel it's harder?
Red is a bit harsh by design to highlight specific buttons.
When you say each section can you provide an image as to what you're seeing here. ?
Better is subjective. Always looking to improve.

As mentioned in my previous posts - there is no option to revert to the old one.

I would appreciate it if you could be more specific, with images, about your definition of "good." Change is always hard to accept, and as with all changes, there are many additional benefits.

Appreciate the specifics. Could you provide images of what you're seeing pls. It should look a little like this. ? We've run the accessibility tools against this and it's provided improved scores over our previous. Always happy to take feedback onboard.

What is wrong with just hovering over the profile to see the reaction score?

Kinda silly to me to complain over that when it is right there... ‍ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
