Hello there

I was wondering how to find websites that has posted 50 - 100 pages / articles but don't get much or any trafic.

In fact, I know two methods :
1) Reverse engineering tools like Ahrefs and Semrush by manipulating filters
2) Searching for some keywords, and looking for websites on pages 2,3,4...

Any other clue ?

Well, you're in the best site to find SEO clients. Get Jr.Vip and sell your services.

If you want to get a bit more specific just research for a product on Google, or on social media, that doesn't seem to be particularly well positioned and contact the owner telling him you can give him more visibility. This can even be done by phone, if you wanna make sure someone actually listens to you. You can even go old school and go hand business cards around the city to different business. I know someone who does this.

50-100 articles and no traffic are mostly wanna be bloggers. Not "clients" willing to pay.
Find real business who want more business more money.
Appart from 2 methods you mentioned try Google maps, yelp, yellow pages etc.

Yeah, I don't wanna work with bloggers
I'm aiming for businesses that have already "worked" on content but don't have trafic

Best bet would be approaching businesses in person. All of these businesses are solicited daily by anonymous people online so they tune it out.

Cold calling or approaching them personally is the best solution for your local businesses. Telling them the importance of SEO and why they should pay for it.

Since if you approach them through email, it will most likely end up in spam or ignored.

Combining cold email with cold calls is one of the best approaches if you are planning to contact businesses.

I think I wasn't clear enough : I don't work for local businesses.
I target mostly start-up and businesses with low trafic sites and I was wondering how I can find them

I would probably look for poorly optimised websites where you can write highly personalised emails outlining all their technical seo problems. People get so many generic “dear sir I do all seo and get u big rankings” emails that they just ignore them now.

However if you emailed people a pitch highlighting everything wrong with their sites and offer to fix half of it for free as a way to get into doing business with them you’ll get tons of responses.

Who doesn't, but most businesses don't even have a website, if they do they don't have a blog if they do they don't have 50-100 articles if they do they don't want to waste time and money on blog and just want run ads and get more business..

Your best bet will be cold calling local services - plenty of customers out there.

do you have any tips for this, i want to try this but seems hard.. i'm guessing i should just sit down for a week and call 500-1000 businesses before expecting any results.

My best clients, ones that have been loyal to me for over a decade have come from using their services. When I have needed an electrician, plumber, accountant etc, I have picked ones which ofcourse had some reviews, but ones in which I could see growth opportunities I could benefit them. Once face to face, was easy because I'm speaking from a truth. From them, they recommend to their friends with businesses and so on.
Best advice I can give you.

I receive few emails per day from wannabe SEO providers like you. Find another job. SEO is so overcrowded.

Hire someone for this work. You can get workers for as low as $100 per month for this work in some places.

Finding potential SEO clients involves a combination of networking, leveraging online platforms, and showcasing your expertise. Start by tapping into your existing network, reaching out to business contacts, and attending industry events or local business meetups to make connections. Online, use platforms like LinkedIn to identify and connect with business owners and decision-makers who might benefit from SEO services. Participate in relevant groups and forums, offering valuable insights and advice to establish your authority. Additionally, create and optimize your own content, such as blog posts, case studies, and webinars, to demonstrate your expertise and attract organic inquiries. Consider offering free audits or initial consultations to demonstrate value and build trust. Finally, don't overlook job boards and freelance platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, where businesses actively seek SEO professionals.

If you do decide to do emails, you still need to be super creative, most will fail.
The best bet is to find something unique. If you can't do that, you will be needing to advertise in their area for them to see it.

I think calling them directly is not a good move, only do this if you are desperate and don't have a "name" to lose

You can hire cold-callers to do the job for you on Fiverr.
It's an investment that pays off.

are those cold callers basically 'appointment setters' so they would book the appointment for me and i would close generally?
