How about a reputation system change?

It's not that I care about the reputation system but it pisses me of when someone neg reps me and they don't even sign themselves under what they wrote. They don't have a valid reason, that's why they don't sign themselves under it. It's like; the only reason these people neg rep you is because they know you can't see who it was. I personally don't really neg rep people unless there really is a valid reason. It?s really annoying when some idiot neg reps you and they don?t tell you why and who they are, they just write a stupid comment and that?s it. I know this rant might be childish but look at the people who overuse the rep system, I'm sure there's many, these are the childish ones. I haven?t posted this because my rep went down or anything like that because seriously I don?t really care. It?s the people that overuse the system that piss me of and that?s why I posted this thread. I?m sure there are many other members who have received pointless neg reps with stupid comments.

What do you guys think?

I thought it was only Jr Vip and senior members who could neg rep anyway ShadeDream...so, in theory, these guys should be reputable members and not abusing the system.

However, I think we all know that there has been a rather juvenile influx whom, whilst no doubt talented, can also be rather impulsive with their comments and actions.

I think we need clarity in respect of what you can neg rep for. To me, it is a warning about the reputable-ness of the individual (eg..are they a scammer?) and not simply meant to indicate that someone has had a difference of opinion with them.

I also don't believe that you should be able to leave neg rep anonymously.

and it also would be nice, if there will be two different colors for jr vips, who just bought/won the title and who really deserved it

@topsytips I'm not sure to be honest, I think it only is the Jr Vip that can leave rep but I'm not 100% sure about that. I do agree with you though on the fact that you should not be able to leave neg rep anonymously.

@bigbuddy Yeah a solution would be great. We should be able to see who neg reps you. Hopefully an admin will see this thread and put their thoughts forward.

@RamChaturvedi That's actually a good idea but I don't think it's necessary, what we really need to see is who is giving the neg rep.

I'm sure that if such a system where you would not be able to give negative rep anonymously would be introduced then the people that seem to overuse the system would stop.

In both cases you can only see who it was if they add their username to the comment.

No they don't, at least I don't. The only way you can let a person know who you are is by typing it in the comment.

I can't see anyone unless they have signed themselves under what they wrote. It doesn't show me who +repped or -repped me at all.
