Hello BHW members i need to start a blog please help me to choose whether i choose a micro niche or macro niche and please explain me what is a micro niche and macro niche, and please explain me which is better to start.

You can become an expert in any subject. Just pick something that interests you. Mine have been technology, martial arts, animals, and music. Within each of those, I have various sites approaching the market differently. For music, I have reviews and e-commerce (2 sites). They are completely separate in terms of the content type but still target the music market. Think like that. Pick a few markets/niches/topics you know about. And delve deeper into a part of that so you can eventually write 1,000 articles about it. A different site is just a different approach to the same market.

Just one advice please research the specific niche you want to rank on and then check your budget. Some niches like finance, law, and SEO are a different game altogether you can't rank unless you have a clear plan and have a lot of money to spend. There are exceptions but mostly that happens so keep that in mind when trying to start something new as more than money a failed site wastes a lot of time.

You should do the research by yourself in detail. Making a business decision based on one line reply from someone is not a wise decision. Give it a few days for research.

my advice, pick something you know best (preferably more than most people do about the subject) and try to niche it down as much as possible when you're starting out. eg. you know a lot about fishing, been fishing since you were a kid with your dad etc. don't start a general fishing blog, niche down as much as possible so that you can actually produce unique content.

what do I mean by unique content? well, if you're just writing a general article on how to catch fish you are not likely to rank for any meaningful keywords. but if you opened a blog about fishing in your country/region and talk about your actual experience, best time to catch fish, best spots to go fishing, best gear that you can get in your country, include your own pictures you are much much much more likely to rank for a lot of long tail keywords fast.

Macro niche is the way to go in 2024. Small websites with limited content will never be ranked by Google unless it is 10 year old blog.
