Is Scrapebox useful in 2024?

Years ago I bought the license and I got tired of using that tool and not seeing results since I never managed to position any blog or any website with its help.

Does anyone here use it and get good results in terms of SEO and so on?

I would like to read the opinions of those who still using this tool.

No one using Scrapebox in 2024?

I usually have at least one copy running 24/7 harvesting urls from a huge amalgamated list of keywords and footprints I feed it, plus another instance for more ad hoc scrapes when I need them. There's some niche usage to be had from the other various addons/tools they have, but it's usually better to use your own code for such operations as it's much more flexible. So for me, it's still a great url harvester, but not really anything else.

Of course it is, I often need to isolate domains with keywords I am interested in and my domain/zone lists are 200.000.000+ domains, apart from linux I know of no other tool that can deal with that amount of lines.

Used to use it often for finding competitor's backlinks, especially blog comments, so I can drop the same backlink. Back then, it was indeed a powerful and must-have software for anyone doing online marketing or SEO.

I've not used it for years... my impression of Scrapebox now is the developers all disappeared and many are complaining about slow licensing activation....

Anyway, to answer your question, I doubt Scrapebox in 2024 is needed or useful anymore...
First and foremost, Scrapebox was originally a blog commenting software.... And now, blog comment backlinks have been devalued so much it won't have much effect.

If you're thinking of it for SEO purposes, then you might as well go with GSA Search Engine Ranker for some other SEO software that is still being actively managed and maintained, and has more platforms to build backlinks on (i.e: forums, web 2.0s, etc).
The developers of Scrapebox seems to have abandoned their software.

And if you're thinking of using it for scraping, you might as well make a custom Python script to do it.

As much as I respect the developers of Scrapebox (who are also members here), it is apparent they've abandoned maintaining their software. Their sales thread has closed and I'm always seeing complaints of customer's licenses not being activated or their support takes forever.

I use it to find expired domains and clean up lists of data. Almost every day.

That's a great plugin. I bought it when it first launched.

Take a look at Youtube and search "Loopline Scrapebox tutorial" and there's a channel with 50-60 Scrapebox tutorial videos.

It's very useful in 2024. Can you blast your way to rank #1? No, but you can do a lot of other things.

Used it on a daily basis until few years ago.

Stopped it after my dedicated servers started getting suspended for port scanning abuse when scraping (indeed I used proxies). Might be some issue with the hosting provider instead of scrapebox itself. But I connected with a dev to create custom .py scrapers after that.

And yes, license transfer is a PITA for scrapebox. Takes a lot of time to switch machines.

In the past years, SB did a fantastic job for me but now, there are a lot of other ways to achieve what I used to get from SB.

Huge respect for developers of Scrapebox for making our old days gold. :)

It depends on how you use it and what you want to achieve. Scrapebox can help you discover potential link opportunities if you are focused on link building.
