Hello I have purchased a VPS and domain names and I am planning to build my own SMTP server to start sending bulk emails but I don't know where to start I hear that people saying PowerMTA, Mailwizz , MailrQ ..... can you pelase send me in the right direction and tell me which one should I use and which one is better and can inbox all doamins please?

Thank you

Just to know the difference PowerMta and MailerQ are the programs to build SMTP servers.

MailWizz, Mumara and EMS, used to manage your email campaign and lists.

You need to know:

How to clean your email lists.

Install and configure correctly PowerMTA.

Correctly configure your domains DNS records.

Warm-up your domains, and IPs.

Segment your data by openers/clickers and action takers.

MailerQ is powerful but you'll not find many ressources on how to use it so use PowerMTA

Hi, op, where did you buy the vps? does it allow smtp with cold mail?

If you want an open source solution, check out Mautic or ParcelVoy

I recommend using PowerMTA because I'm applying it too

I tried PowerMTA and it's great but the hard part is getting a good VPN with clean IPs. Most providers have spam issues while considering the shortage of IPv4 IPs.

It's tough to build a good cold-email platform. With rotating IPs. I recommend using a provider like SendGrid or Mailgun if you want to actually hit the inbox. Otherwise, I would just pay the $6 / inbox with Outlook.

What do you mean by $6 / inbox with outlook?

knowing your purpose of delivering bulk emails from your own SMTP server and ensuring inbox delivery across all domains, I recommend SMTPget or Omnisend. It provides a dependable SMTP relay service with a focus on deliverability, making it ideal for delivering bulk emails. I recently utilized SMTPget, and it is highly user-friendly, which is great if you're just getting started.

have you considered exploring PowerMTA, Mailwizz, or MailrQ for your SMTP server setup? Each has its merits; research them to determine the best fit for your needs.

Mailwizz is the best one you must go with it

They are scammers , they scam i have you standard plan 165 $ and they give me one smtp 0.8 raiting in mailtester , and i asked them why they told me add and 100 $ to give you good smtp and full access , i was add and 100 usdt and they do t give me nothing and when i told to them for refund they told me send and 50 usdt to refund 50% of your moneys! i have proff

I recommend

Postfix + SpamAssassin (DIY) For those who prefer a DIY approach, Postfix is a highly configurable mail transfer agent (MTA), and you can combine it with SpamAssassin for spam filtering and bounce management.

+1 for SpamAssassin , with the report you may have a idea why your mail is in spambox

PowerMTA and SMTPmart offer the best control and deliverability, while Mailwizz works well with SMTP services like Brevo and Mailgun for easy email campaign management.

Bulk Email (Own SMTP) – Like SMTPwire, SendGrid, DedicatedSMTPServer

✅ VPS + Postal/Mailcow
✅ SPF, DKIM, DMARC
✅ Mailwizz + Warm-up tool

Unlimited sending, full control

Yes, it's possible! Set up your own SMTP server using tools like Postfix, Mailcow, or Postal, then configure it with:

✅ rDNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
✅ Warmup IPs gradually
✅ Use email queueing tools (e.g., MailWizz, Mautic)
✅ Monitor blacklists

Works well with your domains like:
SMTPwire, Mailgun, DedicatedSMTPServer for full control + branding.

Bulk email sending is the process of sending a large number of emails to multiple recipients at once, mainly used for marketing campaigns, newsletters, and transactional updates. To do it effectively, you need a reliable SMTP server, proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and a clean email list to avoid spam issues. Popular companies that provide these services include iDealSMTP, which help improve deliverability, scalability, and campaign performance.
