Hi all,

Just got a question for all of you doing Google Ads, how are Google Reps for you? I've got a google rep this quarter but he is a bit useless, I been emailing him a lot and he barely replies, and also isn't really helpful. Compared to a rep that I received a year ago, she was so much more useful, and always used to reply really fast.

So my question is, what is your experience with Google Reps? is it just totally random? have you had bad experience with reps before?

And is there a way to request a new one, or just have to wait out the period where a new one would help that quarter? And can google Reps help with policy errors with ads in the account? I know that appeals barely work.

Thanks

Those you get per quarter are sending automated report and are basically sales agents. They are compensated by your growth so there is where their interest is.

A tier above them are the reps you start to want, with access to cool betas and other perks.

Thanks for the info, that makes sense. Unsure why my current rep is a bit useless, even though I was growing.

Can Google Reps themselves 'fix' policy issues within ads? in ad groups, or do they also have to contact the relevant team and have it manually looked at and approved

They can't fix it themselves, but they have access to the ones who do. They get these issues sorted quicker, usually, or they can give you more information about the actual violation so you don't have to guess.

They are useless. They provide services like call center, take the problem from you and pass it on to senior engineers. Call center same :)

If you ask engineers, they also have some nonsensical tasks they have been assigned, they themselves do not even know what they are, in short, nonsense. I have been a Google Ads user for 10 years.

Sounds like you're talking about those who really sit in a call center. There are a few levels of reps above them, which are quite useful at times.
