What proxy should I use for GSA?
Should I buy 10-20 static residential IPV4 proxies, or should I buy a rotating proxy that automatically changes the IP with every request or changes the IP every few minutes?
I would buy rotating proxies so it is very random.
I have not used GSA in a while but that was my process.
Yeah usually Rotating Residential Proxies will be best as they will give you access to millions of IP's and you'll only pay for the data you consume
For scraping, it's a must to use rotating proxies, as static ones will burn out in no time.
Using residential rotating proxies is always an expensive and slow, yet high-quality option for any automation tool, including GSA SER. This is because you will get fewer hard captchas, low detection by Askimet-type honeypots, and avoid a bad image with site firewalls, leading to a high success rate and long-lasting verified links. However, it is expensive, and it’s uncertain if it’s really worth it. It depends on the user and the purpose.
I am using semi-dedicated data center proxies, which are super fast and change once a month. Of course, I am getting more hard captchas and fewer verified links compared to when I run with residential rotating proxies, but it's still enough for me and, I guess, for most link builders. So, my vote goes to semi-dedicated proxies. You can get 10 proxies for $10 from many proxy providers, and they can be used with 100 GSA threads.
It’s not worth scraping nowadays ourselves, as verified link lists sell at dirt-cheap prices.
