Made me send him 320$ PayPal friends and family for cloaking services, waited two days then cleared chat and blocked me on telegram

guys be careful

his telegram is @ithappensjim , he was jr vip also so thought he was legit

He pretends to sell google ads shopping services where he cloaks your ad and then runs ads for you

I absolutely do NOT agree with such (childish?) comment, thinking and 'solution'. Nor is it a sound advice to apply, anyone, which is to do diligence and find out who you deal with (whether 'older' or 'newer' members) as a first act of wisdom when one buys online, ANYWHERE.

As you can see, I might be biased with my comment because I'm "new" HERE, but I'm very, VERY far from being new online on the other hand. So, if ever it happens that you deal with me you will be able to find out that I'm doing business online for more than 25 years!! I believe that should start to make someone credible, even though it's certainly not a guarantee that one will be honest for such, but at least the point is you MUST, in all cases, find out WHO you deal with and that should be a no brainer. Now, if you cannot find or be sure of WHO YOU REALLY DEAL WITH, then, indeed, don't buy!

The point you're making is superficial at best. Regarding your 8/10 scam ratio this is because 8/10 accounts are newer across the board on the forum thus scams will naturally come from that demographic.

Account age is irrelevant simply because someone may just purchase an old established account, I've seen around they are selling those.

When dealing with someone you just need to develop an intuition for scams. Look for signs like impatience, "bro" phrases etc. You get better with time. That is your best bet if there is no escrow.

Everyone has their own opinion, it's important to always send the message that people do their homework before every purchase and to research everything they can about the seller, everything else is irrelevant.

Childish in the sense of "useless" and not much constructive advice! Too Easy at pointing the finger to non-existing 'culprit' as a possible solution against scam in here. Thinking, is the first solution.

And mine was that it does NOT matter at all even for what you quote in bold, IF one do DILIGENCE!
And that is simple wisdom, no matter what.

I would change the advice to, If you are dealing with a newer seller, then you should start small and build a trusting relationship based on those transactions before building up to larger deals. A seller that has been here longer has more to lose because they've worked to build their reputation. A newer seller isn't necessarily someone that can't be trusted, but I wouldn't drop a large transaction on one without building a relationship with smaller transactions first.
