Is profitable autoblogging still a thing here?

Hey guys,
When autoblogging first entered the industry, it was kinda fancy buzzword and people have been doing a ton of automation shit left and right. Yeah, I experimented it for six months non-stop on a music blog; but got swamped with other projects. Too much work, so I ditched it.

Just wondering if anyone here could share their experience about their autoblog, did you make a dime or was it a complete failure? Are you currently making at least $100 per month per blog?

What's your monetization method on the autoblog? (Ads, affiliate, CPA..?)

I gave up on blogging a long time ago because it had no results. I expected the money to come in faster. But I'm sure some are still making money from it, just not for a living.

I've tried it myself a few times with no luck. Even tho getting good results in terms of rankings and SEO but nowhere near making 100$ a day. Maybe in a month if lucky.

I think that the space is getting spammed with so much AI written stuff now its much harder.

If I would do it again I would try to build up multiple sites at the same time with some type of shotgun approach and see if something sticks.

Both blogging, autoblogging and forum platform are not hard to build, just have a products or service you offer on them don't depend only on ads network.

Exactly. That AI content makes it much more difficult since everybody can now generate a good blog post with just typing in one prompt into ChatGPT - the competition got better.

Many members have repeatedly shared sites that are leveraging AI to publish content at phenomenal pace and then rank as well! You can go through those case studies. In some instances, they even shared the URLs in question too!

Change is the only constant.. Once the "autoblogging" was a fancy thing to try and get traffic easily, now it is changed by AI and prompts, similarly the future will change too.. I recommend to go with the latest trends to get early benefits, once it saturates, there will be hardly any benefits.

tbh, auto-blogging is quite hard if you want to do it at human-writing level.

you need to build 10s-20s of helper agents to help you refine your content and/or data-cleaning if you want a good result.

I won't say it's easy.

Auto-producing content with ready-made plugins/SaaS is one-click but you have little control over the output quality/structure/writing style.

Years have passed by, most people can now sense medium-quality AI content within 2 seconds.

The traffic wasn't good, so I diverted my effort to something else.

What I do I couldn't really term as 'autoblogging', more 'auto-contenting'. The money doesn't really come in if you only have one of these, you need dozens, hundreds even. I'd say only around 40% of such sites I churn out will make more than their hosting cost, but when they do they can snowball. Monetisation is usually adsense, sometimes CPA offers if I trust the companies enough (still so much shafting of affiliates going on).

Unfortunately, almost all of our auto blogging websites have been taken down by Google search results.
Google dislikes automated content at this moment... the only automated blog that is quite profitable is rewriting affiliate products from Amazon.

Those who have old authority blogs will keep milking it for some more years. But taking a fresh blog and making huve income from it is a very big challenge now.

I own around 40+ web assets all over 10 years old and have been producing content since 2010ish. Out of the 40 at least 20 are now fully automated / semi-automated with VAs. I do around 300k unique visitors a month in traffic throughout all the web assets. There is money to be made here, but you need to invest in authority domains first and be very careful. I took a HUGE dive in traffic 2 years ago because of our content focus. After pivoting our fully automated ones are stagnant, but not dropping. Our semi-automated ones are doing well.

If you are thinking about doing it, just realize the content needs to be GREAT not just good or passable. Not sure if this answers your questions, but I just wanted to say it is possible.
