Dude, like i said before, i created link wheels several times and now most of them are being deindexed. Look at it like this. Most people will not tell you that dup/spun content is BS, since they got a motive behind, like Senuke, article spinners etc. They want you to keep paying money. But the real money is in creating unique high quality content with keywords that are availabe on the articles that rank high. For example if you talk about eye problems and there is a wikipedia page or an ehow page on top of you, Just go ahead and do more reasearch on several such pages from authority sites. You might find keywords like hormones, glands etc. Now add those words to your page. Then add outbound links to them( 5-7 authority website) . Now you should be able to rank higher. If not, just upload a youtube video and stick it on your page.

The only working way is to get good outbound links and good quality along with some backlinks.

I dont understand why people are still using spun content for linkwheels. 100 spun pieces of crap is just a lot of crap. Use unique content that is usefull and then use these articles for your linkwheel. I bet a 8 spoke unique quality content linkwheel will produce better results then 100 spoke crap linkwheel. Google does what it should do with the crap. flushes it down the toilet to never be seen again.

I just built a advanced linkwheel with ALL unique content and saw positive results for only two days. Now I am back where i started on the bottom of 2nd page in the SERPS. I didnt close the wheel and made sure to use two main KW variations pointing to my $ site. I did notice one thing, G indexed all the LW props within 24-48 when i submitted the rss feeds all at once to rss directories. They are still indexed till today (its been about a week). I also did some bookmarking and a XR blast on the LW last week.


My question: Was creating the LW at once and getting everything indexed instantly damaging to my money site?

That would be my thought... I recommend building slowly when using Web 2.0 properties because they index fairly quickly.

So, slow your roll next time and I bet you have much better long lasting results.

You can use very deep nested spinning to produce readable unique proper content. It's a hell of a lot of work, but it still works out better in terms of time then writing out (or buying) 1000 hand written unique articles.

Do better at minimizing your footprint.

Don't interlink your spokes.

When I was first starting with the linkwheel concept, I had great success with spun content. Then, Google got tougher on content and I had less success.

However, the interesting thing is that most of my original wheels are still intact, despite the change. It's as though Google's update only screens linkwheels as they are created, not ones that already exist. I still hold top 3 positions for some keywords, on which I used 12 spoke linkwheels with spun content in a simple a --> c + d, b --> d +e pattern.

To be honest, I suspect that one of the main triggers for linkwheels being busted is time. If too many similar web 2.0 sites are made in a short time, Google cannot fail to know that something unnatural is going on. It's the easiest way to detect manipulative linkwheels I can think of.

My next strategy will be to create a bunch of natural looking websites over a period of 3 months. Luckily I can buy content these days. It'll take a lot of effort, but not only will the sites stick around for longer, they'll also rank better themselves and provide more powerful links to the money site / sites.

Even with unique content most linkwheels can be spotted a mile off. Google crawls 6 or 10, or 20 (however many spokes you made) web 2.0 properties within a week, after that there is nothing else for a while so Google sees this as unnatural, this is probably why people notice a good increase in SERPS for their money site for the first few days and then usually they drop back down after. Personally I think the the key is to develop something a bit more long term. Use original content but stagger the submissions over a period of a few weeks or even months if your patient enough.

I created a 6 spoke link wheel for one of my money sites, I submitted the sites over the period of a couple days but then submitted the rss feeds all in one go. Initially I started seeing some nice traffic to my site for several different keywords, and now? Completely vanished. My site is still indexed but I am getting very very little traffic from google.

You are definitely right about deep nested spinning. I use thebestspinner and it takes me 3-4 hours to spin a good text. This means spinning pharagraphs, sentences, words, I mean everything. At the end of the day I end up with 250 articles that have at least 80% uniquness one from another. And it is even good quality. It is a lot of work but is better than paying for other crap. If you want a job to be done right, then do it yourself.

I have her doing some things but she is well behind the learning curve. We are a little older than most in IM, (we are in our 50's) and picking up new things are a little harder for us.

Fortunately I like to write and can pound out unique content all day long to generate backlinks for our websites.

Actually, in my eperience, it has been nothing but the opposite, as before I launch a site, I build it, populate it with tons of extremely targeted content and set my extended linkwheels in place a week or so before I ever submit the site to the SEs. In doing this, I have popped up with a starting rank of pr4 as a min., as well as hit the first page of google. It may not always be the top 5 for the openning day but it will at least hit the top 10.

It doesn't matter ' how much ' content you get indexed from the start, it is the value of the keyword, content and market relevance your content holds.

Link wheels are just like everything else worth doing in life - IF NOT DONE RIGHT IT WON'T WORK. There is the method, and there is the way. You have to do it the right way.
The two most important aspects when building my wheels is RANDOMNESS and UNIQUENESS. It has to look human and random to Google. Google just recently added more criteria to their indexing in regards to unique content, so its even more important than ever to take the time to produce unique content.
There's no "automatic pilot" with link wheels.

I agree with Rocket and actually (dont kill me) I would go further and say when building Link Wheels DO NOT use Senuke to do it. I believe Senuke is leaving a footprint at least on web 2.0 sites, which make it fairly obvious to the sites (if not google but probably also google) what your doing.

I'm saying this as someone who loved Senuke the first few weeks I used it, and I used it properly (proxies, mad levels of spinning, time release etc) before people start whinging that I don't know what Im doing, the same techniques applied manually (well semi-manually) are getting me better results.

The reason why your spun article link wheels are getting busted is because

1:you are using some crusty thesaurus spinning software
2:you have no variety in you spun article

all google does in index all your pages then runs them though it's thesaurus and see's
I feel {good|great|wonderful} and then kick's the articles.
also if all of your articles have no pictures, line breaks etc..you can forget about it

if you have SeNuke and the best spinner then you stand a beeter chance of success
