Hello, writing this post because things are getting urgent. I'll explain the situation briefly, and later I'll have a question for the experts.
I sell t-shirts and sweatshirts through TikTok organics (no links, not trying to promote myself).
Started making TikTok posts following the pattern of competitors. For the first two months, my posts didn't get more than 300 views. I only posted slideshows, no videos. Competitors also post slideshows, gaining 15-20 million views. Then I made a few videos, went back to slideshows, and miraculously got 3.5 million views. Sales increased. Encouraged, I bought 6 more phones, making a total of 7. Continued posting slideshows, mixing them with videos, but for the past 2 months, I haven't gone beyond 300 views on all phones.
By the way, I'm from Ukraine, and my products are sold worldwide. I use proxies from the USA and Europe to appear in recommendations in those regions. For each post, I create new content not used before. But here's the problem.
There's a guy doing content very similar to mine, about 90% identical. Each of his posts gets a massive number of views (attaching screenshots). I've tracked how he posts content and how he evolves over time. In the first 15 minutes, he gets 800-1000 views, then after 20 minutes, it's already 60k+. However, likes, comments, and bookmarks remain at the level of a video with 1-2k views. I go to bed, and in the morning, he already has several million views with real likes, comments, and bookmarks. I can't figure out his secret. If anyone is into this and wants to share their experience, I'm waiting for your coments.
