Yesterday i made a new Tiktok account. I reuploaded 2 videos from youtube and they both got about 600 views each. So i reuploaded 3 more i found on youtube, but this time i got 0 views on all of them.
I was wondering if tiktok knows that it was not original content, so i made 2 videos myself and they both have over 900 views so far.

What do you think could be the reason for the 0 views on those 3 videos?

Yes, it can find out by looking at what's hidden in the video's exif/metada. Run them through capcut before publishing them in tiktok and add effects.

Yes, I didn't know about this situation before either. But I found out that like many social media platforms, TikTok has a system for detecting and managing content, including the originality of content uploaded by users.

Likely a shadowban due to the content, you might want to change up or re-edit your content and adjust the exif as well.

Yes they know and its not easy to reupload tiktok videos and get views on them again.

So does this mean I after saving an effect or two, i should upload straight from capcut or can I save it to my phone and upload whenever?

It’s a lot more deeper than just clearing the metadata for your videos to get views you account needs to be warmed up first TikTok has pixel recognition and knows if the video is unoriginal and has been posted on TikTok before as it checks how similar it is to other videos
