How many backlinks should you use per linkwheel?

I?ve not seen this discussed here so here goes ?
When you build your linkwheel or blogfarm sites to back link to your main money site how many backlinks do you put on a site? I?m confused about this. I do get that you only link one way, from your linkwheel to your main target site and then to another linkwheel.

It seems that if you just make a blog with only one post and one or two links to your site, that it would get deleted quickly ? at least that what seems to be reported. I started making linkwheels in January, with only one post and moving on, but I don?t see any backlinks to my money sites when I check for them and I think I should see them 3-4 months later. So I kinda feel that I?ve wasted all this time and effort so far doing this.

Putting a link into each article or post seems somewhat spammy and I?d think that blog would get deleted as well. I tried that last week on blogspot and the blog has already been deleted.

So I?m thinking that you?d want content posted on a regular basis to keep your back links. And I?ve picked up some automated software to do that, thanks to BHW.

But how many times would you or should you actually insert a link on the site?

If you insert more than one link per site, should they be to the same page or different pages?

And would it make a difference depending on how close it was to your main target site?

to make it less spammy have at least a couple of posts before posting a link back to your main site to make it look more natural and bookmark that post that links to your main site and other posts but just bookmark the linkwheel sites never the main site thats in my opinion the best way so they get some link juice then they give the the link juice to your main site.

I use all of the web 2.0 properties that I can, under multiple accounts for my multiple businesses and build them all as far out as I can by unique connectivity listings...which means if you have a series of 10 articles for site 1, promote them on 10 lenses, under the same author name, repeating the process for each property you have.

To build rep and authority, it is best to use and carefully take care of your author pen name for each property and post to each related site with only related content. Hubpages, article directories, squidoo...all the same situation. You have an author profile that gains rep over the resulting fan following you get in that content. This is ' socially viral ', which plays to your favor if you don't spam and ruin the accounts.

Keep it simple. Post in blogs nad forums, etc. Then, link your posts to the web 2.0 properties, using them as ' gateways ' to your main site...that way if anyone does complain about any thing you are doing, it will stop with that one web 2.0 creation and not flow as harshly back to your main site property, outside of link juice and promo purposes.

So my current plan for my linkwheels is to have some blogs / web 2.0 properties that have one link to the main money site and one link to another linkwheel, and no more links. But I'll set them up to auto post content to maintain relevancy and keep the back links, which should help these sites stick.

Then I'll bookmark and promote the blogs/web 2.0 sites, so they pass link juice to my main money site.

Then I'll build more linkwheels that link to these blogs/web 2.0 sites and promote them as well.

I'm also promoting my money sites via directory listing, profile links, and a little bit of bookmarking - about 3 to 7 bookmarks per page only.

If the articles are the exact same content, yes...as long as the niche markets you link them to are related...article sharing is what directories do with thousands of copies of the same articles on thousands of site due to the fact that people are using them as viral content. Just don't post the same article 10 times on the same domain/site.

If I were you, you should understand the most effective and yet the hardest among link wheels and that is the advanced link. Advanced linkwheel is creating link wheel from your present link wheel. By the way I agree that you should wait for weeks and couple of good posts before you enter the links to make it natural.

I always learn something new everytime I read any of your replies. I have a few articles that cite one of my domains as a source. I was worried about the whole unique content subject. It sounds like depending on what your wanting to do, then if it is done right every article submission doesn't have to be spun into unique articles every single time.

Before i link to any element of my linkwheel, i post links to other sites first. for example, i camoflouge my bookmarks with some random rss feeds first. really any random content will do. You naturally don't want all links to point to your linkwheel elements.
As far as how many, there's really no "rule of thumb". I would just remember to keep a health ratio of other links blended in with your linkwheel/money site links.
