I don't know. Is it worth it? Honestly I didn't even know you can get hired here on BHW for small jobs like crawlers.

Web development will eat life and soul out of you.
It was extremely easy 10 years ago.
Today it's truly saturated.
And I'm not overexaggerating.
I've been doing coding for 6 years now and really I don't see it as a job opportunity.
Look at the level of complexity of any application. They want you to do that in a month.
They will get $40k for an app, you will get $3k payment. Good luck living and working with this awareness.
You will have another guy or two working with you, usually interns cause juniors are too expensive...

Hm. I don't want to get rich, honestly. I know many people get into programming for the big moneyz, but for me it's more about location independent working. I hate working locally anywhere, and if I make enough to get by, I'll be fine with it.
But just between me and you - everyone keeps saying "Now is horrible. It was better 10 years ago". I know people who literally said the same thing 10 years ago, too. Maybe you just got burn out from working in the field too long haha

I have a specific type of burnout for jobs where too much for too little in too short time has to be done.

That sounds good. All I strive for is not starving without having to pick up a job locally. All I dream of. Will keep studying then. You guys restored my confidence in picking this path again, when I first opened the thread I thought I wasted months getting into python when I should have done javascript.

It's good that you have experience communicating with clients, because their desires sometimes change during the course of your work.Imposter syndrome is strong though... I don't feel ready for anything and i don't know when I will be ready to take on a job, even entry level. I mean, if they want me to build them hangman and snake games, I am their man!
I am currently doing a two courses on udemy. 100 days of code for python, and by the same woman, the web developer course.
That can easily be faked though. Just need to ask my friend to hire me on upwork for that. Currently doing a lot of work on fiverr in data entry and with webcrawlers, but fiverr sucks and it's always more up and down than when I dated this bipolar chick. Jeez. One week you get 20 orders a week and you need to decline half of them because you don't have the time, then the next couple of months you don't get any new clients at all any more even though nothing changed and all your reviews were positive.... Horribly inconsistent.

That's depression and mental health problems.
You can do any language if you know object oriented programming, but be careful about frontend. If you touch anything frontend, try to do as much as you can using javascript without frameworks and some library with snippets of codes like lodash but tailored for your project. You don't need to compile another app just to have vue and react wrapper that you make little use of. If you have really something frontend like SaaS UI, then I'd try angular because it naturally introduces typescript and comes from google which makes me biased cause google is the king.

OOP is not too difficult as a concept but when you actually try to implement it. Oof.
Not sure if frontend is better than backend though. I have people in both camps swear to their side and strongly advise against the other.
