I've never written a diary, always thought that M15 might use it against me one day.
But I have this year. My only new year goal is to put something in it everyday that is positive. (Nothing negative at all).
My mum's been writing a diary since she was 7 years old, she's now 86. The early ones are more like cave drawings than actually written words.
I looked in the notes at the back of dairy at her goals.. she had one.
1) Buy a 2024 diary and write something in it, on the 1st of January. ( she gets one free every Christmas from the Royal College of Nursing for 50 years of service)
She's achieved this goal and copied and pasted it into her new goals for 2024.
Those 79 diary's that line the top shelf of the bookcase I made during my apprenticeship 42 years ago. Contain the good, bad, ups and down, failures and achievements of a life well lived.
The down side is , she can recount all my failures with pin point precision..
Anyway maybe its a good thing to get into the habit of doing.
Happy New Year and Good Luck Everyone
