So starting December 2023, I’ve researched a lot of “farmers” noticed a drop in their numbers, very specifically after this new rule of 1k or more to get compensation in 2024. Mines personally dropped from 9k a day to now 1k a day throughout all songs in my catalog.
One main technique was using Spotify web player on chrome cpus and one regular PC, with free accounts, you can have 2 windows open on each chrome cpu one regular and another incognito, I will press play on the artist profile page and just shuffle the songs so it looks realistic and counts would be spread evenly throughout the catalog, I never use vpns because they will get detected fast, flagged, log you out and dsps will notice also and not try to pay until you contact them which we all want to avoid, You would get some log outs every now and then with the main technique but once you created a new password you would be good to go for some time, this technique worked for me the whole year of 2023 until December 2023. Right now my accounts are logged in, working and “farming” fine but they are not counting them all, does anyone know why?
My hypothesis is that Spotify came up with a new system powered by AI to detect “farming” and I noticed weird activity on my profile where my songs would show up on random playlists and my streams would go up extremely on one song then it’ll get flagged for bot streaming which I’ve never did or paid for so it had to be Spotify doing this. It’ll be weird playlists named like “Summer Songs” “Dance Songs” and my listeners and streams would go up really fast and then the next day it’ll go back to normal.
And I’m thinking the only farms that’s getting counts is in the Spotify app and not Spotify web player, what do you think? Any thoughts on this or new techniques to get around this?
